Quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. No one came to our table. After about 15 I had to ask for... service. Server had a s****y attitude from the start. Didn't check up on us or update us at all as food was taking a bit longerthan usual. When we asked (45 minutes into being here), he was weirdly passive aggressive about it. I?ve given this two tries now. The first we weren?t even served for 20 minutes, I guess they just forgot. Second try we waiting... for over 30 minutes for an appetizer. I get places are short staffed but I saw plenty of other tables receive their food so Iguess it?s a service issue Read more
Another update: Well they certainly have redeemed their self in a BIG way! They manager stepped up and contacted us. Sent us... certificates along with an apology and asked us to please try them again. We are happy to say we went back tonight with friendsand everything was impeccable!! Service was spot on. Food was terrific. Could not have been any better.. the managerhappened to have been there and she was so kind. We will be back. We love Mellow Mushroom and are very happy that we will nothave to go to Acworth to get our favorite pizza anymore! Thank you to this manager Brenna for going above and beyond to make itright! Update: Tried again after 2 years and no different Our! Food was horrible! Ordered wings w/ blue cheese. I receivedold wings and very old celery & carrots with creamy dressing that was in no way blue cheese! Picture below! Our past experiencewith Mellow have been great. We are "regulars" when there is not a pandemic. We stopped in today for lunch. We were wearingour masks and sat on the patio outside. No one else was there. Our normal rating for previous trips would have been always a5. Today They get 2 stars. One for the nice waiter and the other for the pizza. Where they lack is when as we are eating theyallow a very large party to sit right beside us. Lots of kids and women. There was ZERO social distancing practiced on thepatio. A woman kept standing right at my side with no mask. I immediately went to the front desk to pay my bill and get a boxto take our just seved pizza home. I told them exactly why. My response was "sorry mam people just dont listen". Not once didanyone actually tell them they had to social distance! We had our water and tea comped for the problem. They also took thebruschetta off of the bill because the bread was so old and stale that you couldn't eat it. We would have rather had itreplaced as it is our favorite! We just did not want to wait. Enjoyed lunch here with my daughter. We dined on the patio and it wasn?t busy at all. Our server was funny and attentive. Our... pizzas were delicious, the Greek salad with Esperanza dressing is my fav. I usually get a small white with sausage and spinach,my daughter enjoys the buffalo chicken pizza. Read more
Okay, the pizza is really good, but it?s not exceptional. My husband and I went here for our date night this week and the... quality is great but it?s super expensive for what you get! Our total was over $50 for just the two of us, each ordering oneitem. They also tell you that ?each ingredient is $1.50? but they charge $3.00 for any meat you want in your calzone. So byadding chicken, pineapple and mushrooms, my calzone was like $20! It was good, but nothing to run back for. We did like eatingoutside, although we were forgotten and didn?t get to order for 25 minutes when I finally went inside and asked for assistance.Again, good pizza, not exceptional, mediocre service, and super expensive. I?m normally not one to write a negative review when I have a bad experience somewhere, but I?ve been coming to this Mellow... Mushroom for years and today I just had a really unpleasant experience. My family and I frequent this location, coming at leasta couple times a month, and many of the staff members recognize us at this point. They?re always friendly and the service isalways quick, which coupled with the tasty food keeps us coming back. Today I was by myself, so I opted to sit at the bar. Isat down, was greeted pretty quickly, and I asked for a water while I looked over the drink menu. I decided on a drink, thebartender(whom I assume was also the manager on duty) took my order and asked to see my ID. No biggie, I?m 22 years old. Iexpect to be ID?d at places and am oftentimes shocked if I don?t get asked. I presented it, and the man serving me looked at itand then looked at me, to verify the photo was actually me, and then looked like he was confused. Before he could say anything,I offered up an explanation - I?m 22, which is obvious by looking at the date of birth on my ID, but my ID photo is 6 years old,from when I first started driving. My hair color is different, my eyebrows were filled in today, and I was wearing eye makeup,but underneath those things, that photo is the same person. I even explained that I?m scheduled to take my driver?s road test inthe next couple weeks(I presented a learner?s permit to him, so that checks out, right?) and that I planned to have them take anew photo. He still insisted that he could not serve me a drink, and I said okay and proceeded to order lunch anyways. I?veworked in the service industry for years, I get it, it?s risky serving someone with what you think could be a fake ID. My issuethough, is that my ID was indeed MY ID, wasn?t expired, had a valid 21+ date of birth.
