We were passing through and though we would give this place a try. Five of us all got different items and were really pleased... with everything. The mac and cheese, greens, and cornbread are great. All the meat was very tender and flavorful. Great portionsizes for the price. If you want some down-to-earth honest BBQ, this is a great place. Read more

Brisket was good but bbq sauce on table wasn't. Really the sauce is what sets bbq joints apart. So if the sauce isn't good the... bbq isn't good. Service was good, Mac and cheese was good, and presentation was good, it's just the sauce wasn't. Read more
After riding past a few times, decided to give Sam's a shot and was pleasantly surprised. Every meat from Sausage, Pork,... Chicken, Brisket and Turkey was juicy and delicious which is hard enough to pull off and do well for 1. A sleeper amongst sideswas the Mac and Cheese. If the pictures of the food look good online, normally it is. And in this case, this theory holds true. Sam is the man! Some how... I just knew it was about to be good as I was walking in. I had a good feeling about. The ribs were great; brisket, great;collards, very good; even the potato salad was delicious and that's an anomaly outside of my own kitchen:) The sauces were allfantastic!
