Great pasta. Needs better staffing. UOVO does not take reservations. It?s first come, first serve; which is fine. My party of 4... was present, but the staff would not seat us at the available 4-seat table. The table was just left empty for no reason. I don?tget it. The staff seemed nice but incompetent. Found this little gem searching for another restaurant. Be careful because you have to wrong around to dockside to enter into... the establishment. It is a small location. The view is great. There's no specialty cocktails; however, an assortment of winesare available. The Mexican cola was lit and much needed to cut the salt in some of the pasta. The pasta is overnighted fromItaly which is an amazing touch. I love pasta so I appreciate the requirement for their cuisines. I charge the special theyhave that requires 2. You receive a shared appetizer and deserts. However, you do receive your own portions for the 3 pastas youchoose. The tortellini is utterly salty but there's some good flavor. The meat sauce on the first pasta was delicious...slightly greasy but it works out well. Now let me tell you.... THE YELLOWTAIL CRUDO... *CHEFS KISS* The blood orange on thatthang.... BOMB. What a lovely surprise. From the view to the food, we had a great experience. The staff was friendly even though the place got... super busy. The pastas we got were all delicious, so was the wine. The highlight was definitely the tiramisu (we took two -that?s how delicious it was!) Read more
Absolutely delicious. We had the tasting menu "Cheese and Truffle". I thought the pasta pomodori would be "boring" but it ended... up being my husband's and my actual FAVORITE dish. Everything was delicious, staff was great, view was beautiful. Read more
Went here with my family the other day and had a really great time! Our server, as well as all the staff, was incredibly... friendly and helpful. We ordered multiple sharing dishes and ended up having six different pastas to try, all cooked perfectly.(My favorite was the carbonara). It was a beautiful day and the restaurant is located right next to the Marina, so we got towatch the sunset. Read more
I?ve never had such a positive experience at a restaurant from the time we were greeted from the host to taking our last few... dessert bites and saying our goodbyes to the amazing staff. This was an experience my mom and I will never forget with the bestview of The Marina, to the kind waiters and waitresses and of course amazing plates! The first thing I noticed about the menu was it?s almost entirely pasta dishes. After ordering and finishing our meal now I know... why. The pasta is made in Italy with local ingredients and flown in nightly, and boy does it show. The quality is superb. Thenoodles in the Amatriciana were full of dense flavor, you feel a certain heft when lifting your fork. I?d only recommend if yourinto the more pungent cheeses as it?s laced with Pecorino Romano. Delicioso! We had a great experience at Uovo in MDR and will definitely be back! The location is lovely with views of the harbor... from every outside table. The servers are very attentive as well making for a great dining experience. We recently had a babyand accommodating a stroller was no problem which we appreciated. The menu has a tasting option but know that it?s only servedto sets of 2 patrons, so if you have a group of 3, you?re not able to order that way. Thought this was a little interesting aswe only had 3 in our party, but we were happy to order a la carte! We started with the yellowtail Crudo appetizer which wasfabulous! So fresh and clean. You can tell this restaurant group knows their fish. We also ordered the Cacio e Pepe, Tagliatelleai Carciofi and the Ragu! The crowd favorite was the Ragu which was just so well done! You can probably pass on the Cacio ifyou?re a fan of this dish in general. It isn?t the best around. We also ordered a side of the funghi and rounded out our mealwith a delicious bottle of chianti.
