This is a cool place to eat. Has delicious food and friendly staff. Right across the street from the river. A nice view with the... barges and boats. There?s a little park nearby with benches you can sit out and look at the water. They have a second level thathas a better view of the water. Located in the middle of many many shops. Marine City is a nice place for a little getaway on Sunday afternoon... After sunbathing at the beach or spending time at the... waterfront park while watching freighters you will probably get hungry. The perfect solution for it will be a meal at the MarineCity Fish Company. What you have to be aware of is that it will be best to make a reservation a couple days ahead. We tried tocall the day of visit, a few hours before, and the place was already fully booked. We took a chance and went there anyway. Afterbeing advised on 55 minute wait (and were ready to leave,) we came up with the idea of sitting at the bar, were two empty seats.While walking to the bar, we noticed that there are very many available tables everywhere and the restaurant is half empty. Notsure what was causing this, maybe lack of employees? The food was good except mashed potatoes that were nicely served but hadwatery texture and powdery taste. If you really like mashed potatoes get a different side. At the restaurant like this I wouldappreciate real mashed potatoes rather than instant ones. Overall, we enjoyed the day. The restaurant is nice, big, thebartender was excellent, and we were surrounded by life music. Will go back if mashed potatoes improve...:-) Read more
Just moved here from Kansas and all about local spots. Had lunch with the family and we loved the place. Great atmosphere, great... food and a nice craft beer selection. Went for lunch, great service by Loren. Awesome atmosphere and delicious food. Calamari, clam chowder, and Smoked salmon and... cheese trays for starters. Delicious! Entrees were Walleye, Coconut Shrimp, Cajun Angel and lobster ravioli. All weredelicious! My personal favorite was the coconut shrimp. Definitely a great place to eat and walk along the river. I personally LOVED my food and our waitress was lovely! My fiance's brisket was fatty and a little tough and his garlic mash was... a soupy and extremely garlicy. I had the mahi fish tacos,salad, there homemade bread and house butter and their clam chowder. Iwas extremely satisfied. SO delicious on my half! Read more
First time here in a few years and food is still just as good as always. So many different things on the menu but always good. I... tried the lobster ravioli this time and it was fantastic. If any complaints it would just be the wait for the food but it'sworth it if you're not in a rush. Read more
