The food is always good, however they have forgotten or lost my food 3 times this year. Twice as to-go orders and once dining... in. Each time I waited over 20 minutes before asking, with apparently no one caring that I had been sitting there for so long.And on one other occasion they lost my coworkers dine-in order as well. We ate w/ other family members. Not our personal choice, but I liked my BLT&A (avacado). I personally think McAlister's is VERY... pricey for just a sandwich & chips & drink! We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely day and family. Read more
Friendly checkout. Good fresh food. Only thing they could improve on is turning down the volume where you can hear each other.

I am pretty happy that McAlister's opened in Marion since we go to others farther away when we travel. We've been there a few... times since they opened and haven't had a bad experience. The place is new so everything is clean and nice. They don't havetheir tumblers for sale at this location (at this time at least) but they honored the discounted refill price when we broughtours in which was great - definitely makes getting their "famous" tea easier on the pocketbook. Unlike the other McAlister's wesometimes go to, this has a self-serve ice tea station which I like since I like just a splash of sweet tea in my unsweet tea... They definitely have good iced tea. In any case, the food was good as expected. As a salad/sandwich shop they have a niceselection, and we sometimes get their baked potatoes which is one of the best values on their menu. It's nice to have thiseating option in Marion and while some may not consider this "fast food" this is how I classify McAlister's, so for thiscategory, we've had only 5 star visits so far and expect that to continue. Really good food! We had the Horseradish Roast Beef & Cheddar, Spicy Southwest Chicken, both with a side of Mac n' Cheese, and a... pickle but they forgot the pickles. My husband also had a baked potato with cheese sauce and butter. Plus an apple sauce whichcame prepackaged from the manufacturer. The sandwiches came cut in half so we shared, both were delicious but I preferred theroast beef. For me, that particular chicken sandwich was a heavier meal than I was looking for. My husband liked both and didn'thave a favorite. He liked the potato as well. We also noticed that their packaging is such that can be easily reheated in themicrowave which is nice for left overs. We enjoyed our dinner at this deli. My wife really liked her special baked potato and my club sandwich was delicious! Great... service and reasonable for a deli that is a notch above average. The atmosphere is nice. The variety of oldies songs were a bitlouder than it should be for a restaurant. We'll be back again! Read more
