Reviews for Parlour 1886 in Marion, KS
Fabulous food, gorgeous hotel, best staff, ever! And, order DESSERT!!!!!!
Great historic ambiance and good food. Nice presentation. Friendly.
Lovely prairie gem. Cocktails/wine menu, had grilled swordfish....over done by a couple of minutes. The "salsa" on top was just... chopped items and should be eliminated. As local purveyor/seasonal ingredients a corn, summer/winter squash/apple item wouldhave been a welcome authentic addition to the sides, or swordfish topping. LOVE, the carrot cake....phenomenal, gorgeous andmouth party. I will return over and over. Read more
We made reservations a week ago for a family birthday brunch at noon today with family driving from both Wichita and Manhattan... to meet in Marion. Less than one hour before our reservation time I received a phone call from the restaurant saying they wereclosed “due to staffing issues”! Both families were already driving to Marion! What a disappointment! Surely someone knewabout “staffing issues” prior to 11:00 this morning. Read more
Great food and great service! Save room for dessert OMG!
Amazing food and elegant atmosphere in a super cute small town. I had the chicken Cesar wrap which was huge and so delicious! I... don't usually like home cut fries, but their's where extra crispy with just the right amount of salt which in my opinion madethem perfect! Prices are fairly high, but comparable to other fine dining and well worth it. Read more
This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Took over 1 1/2 hours to get our food. Waited 20 min to even order.... We ended up having to take our food to go. The drinks and food were really good but the service was terrible. $32 for oysters isa RIP off. I get it, one of your friers went down but why would that effect my burger and chicken sandwich. I would haveexpected a comp on something for how long we waited. We were gonna get 1 each if the desserts but could not wait any longer. Iwould rate lower but the food was tasty and drinks were strong. This kitchen need to be managed better. Update: got home andlooked at the sandwich and its chicken tenders, bacon and ranch on a bun. No lettuce, tomatoes or cheese. I've gotten bettersandwiches at a fast food joint. This was about $13 and took 1.5 hrs for them to make. Read more
