Nice relaxed atmosphere, a really lovely attentive server, but a painfully slow kitchen. Don't come if you are in a hurry. The... hummous is really nice, the pasta was on the dry side but still reasonably tasty. Good reviews by others at the table on thesalad and veggie burger. The outside setting is really very nice and there are outdoor heaters available if it getschilly. Update: - I did go back, this time the kitchen was super speedy, the wait-staff continued to be great, had a lovelywine and wonderful chick pea fritter (aka falafel) salad bowl. The setting was really great (I ate outside this time). I wasreally delighted that the kitchen staffing was sorted. I will definitely be back !! Changing my rating! Read more

We went there to dine out for my Birthday. The fish & chips weren't bad, but there seemed to be way too many small overcooked... pieces of fries that came with the order. There also wasn't really much of a menu selection. My parents use to visit theBarrhead many times during their lifetime. It was always a special place for me for the memories. What a charming and inviting space! Cute items to purchase on display scattered throughout the dining room, with only a few... tables for dining inside but enough to make it feel cozy. I had the most delicious falafel dish. Very friendly staff and awonderful place to stop by and have a bite. Read more

We had a great lunch today even with the power outage lol great to speak with the owner and waitress. Had the daily special of... clam chowder soup and a turkey dinner poutine!! Really great food. My wife had the chickpea fritters and she really liked thattoo. Looking forward to going again as soon as we come back up! Read more
Very sad to say tonight was my very first night going to this restaurant and not realizing it is closing tomorrow for good :(.... The atmosphere was great. The staff were incredible and so was the food. I especially loved their fries! Sad I have discoveredit so late considering I live in the area but wishing everyone the best in the next chapter.
