Really enjoyed the decor and brightness of this restaurant. There is also a small patio area. Our waiter provided excellent... service. The gnocchi with bolognese sauce was my favorite. The lemon herb risotto with smoked salmon was a bit different fromother risottos that I've tried. The Margherita pizza crust was nice and thin but middle was soggy. Decent food, a bit pricey, beautiful dining room and very friendly staff. I came on date night an hour before closing but they... were accommodating. The squid was alright, it was a bit sour. But the spaghetti with zucchini was definitely the star. It was abit oily and the noodles were a bit overdone for my taste but it was still good. Excellent food, great atmosphere and perfect service. The waitress was informative and friendly. At one point the chef had come... into the dining area, full of flour asking customers how they liked the food. I've never seen that before and I thought it wasgreat. Read more
My husband and I have passed by this restaurant at least 20 times after date nights at the cinema nearby and kept meaning to try... it out. Despite VIP cinema tickets and snacks we finally went today. We order the Bosco salad, zucchini spaghetti with a side ofsautéed mushrooms and the lemon sorbet. The manager very sweetly added a celebratory touch as it was our weddinganniversary. In the past we've ordered at Italian restaurants expecting great things and it has fallen short but Costa Sorrentowas excellent! The ingredients fresh, well portioned and presented, flavourful and varied. The service was pleasant, theambience lovely, friendly and reminded me of being back in Italy, especially with live music playing and it was full of regularcustomers and I could see why. It is a little on the pricey side and there isn't much range for vegetarians but we left full,satisfied and happy. I would definitely go back and recommend to others. Read more
100% the best Italian place I've ever been to. I live in Kitchener and would definitely bring my family all the way here.... Everything about the food we got was great. The pasta was perfectly cooked, sauce was perfectly seasoned and the pizza was onpoint. The dessert platter lived up to expectations. The service is amazing, I asked for an iced coffee (which they don't haveon the menu) and the waitress made it for me with no hesitation. I will be coming here more often. Read more
I had the pleasure of dining out with some friends a little over a week ago. We enjoyed some great tasting Italian food at Costa... Sorrento in their private dining room. We had mostly a custom menu and everything tasted amazing, from start to finish. Westarted with a platter of preserved meats and vegetables with some cheese and crostini. Great start! Next came some delicioushouse-made anchovies, pizza, and their Fritto Di Scoglio platter (Fried calamari, shrimp, smelts, basil aioli). A verydelicious pasta dish was next. The pasta and meat sauce had the perfect consistency and flavour! It was delicious! Everythingtasted amazing and we were feeling stuffed BUT there was more to come! These were just the appetizers! What??? Every course,except the pasta, was served family style and the next course was impressive! This platter had Lamb Chops, Steak, Chicken,Sausages, Grilled Vegetables, and Fries with Truffle Oil. Very impressive! It was time to shift gears and dig in to this greatlooking platter! OMG! Everything tasted as good as it looked! Perfectly cooked meats with amazing flavours! Yummm! Now we werereally stuffed but then dessert showed up! Damn! Gotta loosen the belt for this. Most of us could only manage a taste of eachand it was all very good! At the end of the night, we were all very stuffed with delicious authentic Italian food and weactually had leftovers from each course. There was a lot of food! And it was all outstanding! As was the service! Of course, itwouldn't be an Italian meal without wine, red wine. I didn't get a look at the label but it was very enjoyable. I may have had acocktail too.
