MSG WARNING - It taste good with the chili oil, a bit too salty for me, but really reminds me of what I had in China, but... unfortunately in Mr. Xu's the umami of the soup is mostly based on MSG, if you do not believe it leave a little until it coolsdown and the strong MSG smell will be very obvious... It lingered in my nose for a long time. And I was thirsty all night, dranka lot of water couldn't help. If the soup is good regardless of how much MSG in there, the other side dishes and appetizers werenot worth the money. Just stick with the soup and maybe the red bean soup as dessert. FRESHNESS - I think the toppings were goodbut my dad said some of the duck liver in his soup stinks, maybe not all of them were fresh enough. I will not order again... Read more
