Came on a Saturday afternoon and had a good time. Inexpensive classic HK food, we got baked rice with beef liver and the Malay... curry beef on rice. Would've liked more spiciness for the curry, but the baked dish was good. The HK milk tea was spot on. Read more

We went for lunch n ordered several lunch menu. Hai Nan chicken rice is ok not exciting. Curry beef is average, the pork soup... noodle is the best. I would highly recommend that. The noodle is Al dente not soft type. The soup is tasty. The order took a bitto time to serve. Parking is available. Small restaurant size, typical Hong Kong style tea room. Read more

If you're in the Steeles & Woodbine area and are craving Hong Kong food, Phoenix is the spot! They have breakfast and lunch... specials that you can choose from, or just you can choose from the regular menu. I got the Cantonese Chow Mein and my husbandwas recommended the chicken and porckchop with the cream and tomato sauce and we were not disappointed at all! The portions weremassive! Will be coming back next time to try the pineapple buns with the ice cream! Read more

Unlike my experience with the Pheonix Restaurant downtown Toronto a few years ago, this branch in Markham was a let... down. Service was fast, but there was a language barrier. The server thought I was ordering double of everything, but I had toexplain to her.... no!! As for the food... the iced lemon tea was good, and the veggie dish was good too. But the hainanesechicken rice dish was not. The broth was crazy peppery. I love pepper, but even that was too much in the broth. The chickenitself was good, but the rice was not. If you see in the pic, the outer part was yellow, but the middle part was white. Clearly they used white (albeit stale) rice and then drenched the chicken oil on top. Hainanese chicken rice should befragrant, but this was not. The search for a decent hainanese chicken rice continues..... Read more

Visited this location on a super early Sunday morning right at opening at 8am. Group of four of us ordered 7 breakfast items. ... We were hungry ! During breakfast only their breakfast menu is available. From the choices, it was mainly sandwiches,noodle/macaroni in soup type dishes available. That?s fine but wanted to put this information there for folks who might seethe whole menu thinking they they can order all this. I have included their breakfast menu for you to see. Service was good, and you can order thru the waiter or there are QR codes and you enter in your table number. I would return, but price for whatyou are paying may be slightly higher due to inflation and shrinkflation. Read more

Great Hong Kong style breakfast. This is comfort food for me. It's not fancy, but hits the spot.

One of the most consistent HK-style cafes we love to grab breakfast at. Solid HK-style milk tea too. Their lunch/dinner sets are... also great! Service is fast and friendly. Read more
