We live in South Lake and Stonefly is our favorite restaurant by far. A little bit of a drive out of town but it?s a gorgeous... one. Great vibes, fantastic food, and love that the menu changes and has daily specials. Love this hidden gem! Read more
I was really looking forward to eating here, but was a bit disappointed. Our server needed lots of additional training... Pizza... was fabulous (as it should be for $18), pasta SPECIAL really wasn't special, spinach salad was good. Might try it again butother closer options are available. Read more

It's been a while since I have eaten in Markleeville. I know I have I just don't remember the exact year. The food was good... especially the bread. Amber was our waitress. It's a little cramped in there but it's not too bad. Thanks for the Books by theway. I am not sure why my previous review is missing but that's ok. I retype my reviews in case incidents like that happensespecially when I start to remember my past. The fire that swept through here almost looked like a controlled burn glad the townwas spared. A not to be missed great dining spot in a cute, tiny town. Be sure to call ahead for reservations because it's a popular... restaurant and for good reason. Food was amazing. We loved the special drink at the time, a sangria made with grapefruit. And besure to order the char grilled cabbage appetizer. It was amazing and drew is back for a second time just so we could order itagain. We also love their wood fire pizza & enjoyed sitting outside on their pleasant patio. Thank you to the kind hostess & wehad wonderful, friendly servers both times. It's a dining experience, so don't come with expectations to be in and out. Rather,come with family and friends after a day exploring the nearby scenic area to relax & enjoy. Oh, and the desserts are all amazingtoo. Read more
