My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years and we keep coming back. It's our favorite restaurant. I refuse to... eat at Mediterranean restaurants in Dallas, where I currently reside, because I just know they will not compare. Every time Itravel back to Louisiana, Habibi's is a must. Food was superb! Not sure whether it was staff or someone dining there who repeated a private conversation we were having but i... do know that was the only time it was mentioned. Nothing of importance, just made me uncomfortable. The amount of food wasenough for two tho. We will be back for sure but thus my 4 star rating rather than 5. Food was really good. However, the service was really slow. Had to find our own menus and no refills on the drinks. Waitress... was okay, just had too many tables and was overwhelmed. The restaurant was short on staff. Several of the tables around uswere openly complaining as well. Since the food was good and portions large, we would probably give them another try. The only reason it's not 5stars is because the service was a little bit slow. Not the fault of the waitress. She was sweet. ... They need more day shift waiting staff. It was our waitress and only one other new waiter taking care of the whole restaurantduring the lunch rush. The food drinks and atmosphere was fantastic. On 2/5/22 at around 5ish in the evening, my dinner guest and I were certainly in for a wonderful surprise! I am in the... Lafayette area, so there are a lot of different Mediterranean restaurants that are tasty; HOWEVER, HABIBI'S in MarksvilleDEFINITELY sets the bar very high with the way their cusine is prepared! This restaurant sets the standard. We ordered: 1.Cabbage Wraps 2. Fried Halloumi Cheese Both of these appetizers were AWESOME!!!! 3. MEAT MOUSSAKA: WOW!!!!! THE BESTEVER!!!!!! One of the best hidden Jems ive found. I love Lebanese food and this place knocked it out the park. Had Cabbage rolls for... appetizer they were awesome the sauce had the cucumber crisp taste that is just right. Me and mom both got Kabob. The beef wassuper tender ans the shrimp were great.
