I’m from Staten Island so I’ve been to many Italian restaurants, this was by far the best. Firstly, the waiter—I believe... his name was Bruno—was the best you can get out of a waiter. Fun, personable, and quick. Probably the best service we receivedin a while. The food was excellent. I ordered the Sea Bass and it almost melted in your mouth. It was cooked to perfection.Another member of my party ordered the Porter House, which was also cooked very well. The appetizers were delicious. I highlyrecommend the crab meat and octopus. All of the sides were great such as the black rice. I totally loved everything about thisplace including the environment, which was perfectly lit. Make sure you ask for pricing on the specials. Cannot believe 3 shrimp and a small scoop of crab could be $45! (After the extra... 3.5 percent you pay for using a credit card!) Meanwhile apps on the menu with shrimp were $16! Such a scam. For an expensiverestaurant they are SO cheap. The pros were a very attentive waiter and nice ambience, but that’s about it. Read more
The restaurant has the ambiance and the decor of a beautiful place for anyone to come & enjoy a great meal! My dinner was... delicious! Damien was very accommodating to all of our dinner request… Although we were from out town and certainly notdressed according to what the expectation of the restaurant, it should NEVER be noted by the staff specifically the fronthostess that unfortunately failed to have a poker face since we arrived in t-shirt’s & shorts from the shore area…She was abit young & judgmental and could certainly use some guidance with her initial reaction…I don’t know if her reaction wouldhave been the same if she saw the 2021 Land Rover that we arrived in… one should NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER… thankgoodness the food was delicious ???? Food was delicious, best steak I've had in a long time dessert was incredible,pizza was on point. I see complaints about the... service, that was not our experience our waiter Bruno was awesome he made us feel like we could spend all evening there nopressure to finish our food and leave, he gave us honest opinions on the menu and was super friendly. First timer! Took my cousin here for her 40th birthday. What a phenomenal experience. They did not skimp on alcohol with the... one drink I ordered. It was like having two in one. The baked clams appetizer was phenomenal and the sauce was perfectly made. AMAZING flavors. My cousin and I def. said it was best baked clams we have ever had. After I ordered the special halibut (seepics) and she got the shrimp and risotto. WOW, I left nothing on my plate. She had to box half hers b/c the shrimp were hugeand they gave a lot of risotto. Afterwards we were told by our awesome waiter to go check out the other room for a Christmassurprise. They had a life size Elf on the Shelf and smores! First time visiting Osteria and was certainly not disappointed. Waiter we had was excellent and recommended the Porter house for... 2 which was phenomenal. My wife also had the bone in veal Milanese and mentioned it was one of the best she has ever had. Thisrestaurant will one we frequent with friends and family. Read more
I had a nice group dinner here with some excellent, real Italian food. We had the stuffed pepper special which was good and the... lobster gnocchi special which was just about perfect. I had the ravioli and they were amazing, but couldn't tell if it wasserved with real guanciale or just thick bacon. Either way it was very good. Each flavor of the gelato was pretty good but itseemed more like standard ice cream to me. Be careful, each order comes with 3 big scoops. The service was fine and it wasn'tvery noisy in the corner we were in. It's definitely pricey here but probably worth it for the food. Overall I would definitelyrecommend this place. We also had a weird dress code issue. Apparently patrons can't wear baseball caps in the dining area, butservers were able to wear caps as they served in the dining area. Read more
Been in Marlboro for 12 yrs and never got a chance to eat here. Finally tried it for date night. We went there at 8pm on a... Saturday and place was packed. Water and bread came in promptly, the garlic oil n crispy zucchini was good. We skipped thedrinks and order the octopus, garganelli, fuoco pizza w/ sausage n bronzini. The octopus with mashed potatoes was ????, octopuswas delicious n crisp, potatoes were legit. Pizza was nice n creamy with the fresh mutzadel n peppers, watch out the spice levelis insane so order this pizza only if u can handle ????. The pasta was awesome with the creamy white sauce n peas and saltinessfrom the prosciutto. The bronzini was perfectly cooked with a capers based sauce n lentils. The lentils were cooked perfectly nwell seasoned. What a great meal and left extremely satisfied. I have eaten at many Italian spots and this has got to be top 5spot.
