First, I am a pepper belly and I have eaten Scorpions and Ghost Peppers. I had a BBQ Pasta w/Chicken. I ordered their Special... 8 and I can say it was the 3rd Hottest Dish I have ever received. Great Bar with very good Bourbon Selection and loved the backalley entrance. This was a converted bowling alley that still used the lanes as floors. This was so authentic New Orleans thatI expected the late Dr. Hook to eventually walk through the doors. Guy Fieri needs to do a Triple D story about this place. GREAT PLACE and I know how Marquette keeps warm in the winter. Read more

A little taste of NOLA in the UP. While it was busy, we were seated at a cocktail table immediately and ordered drinks. Once we... got our food, it was delicious. The fried green tomatoes were heavenly. Service was courteous. Great experience all around. Read more

Nothing I can say will do this place the justice it rightly deserves. The food was perfect, but better then that, our server... (Freddie Mercury's look a like (was hands down exceptional in everyway, we had to ask for nothing as he already anticipated itand had it to us! Just amazing Read more

Wow, this restaurant was awesome. Living in New Orleans for 4 years and visiting nearly every year since 2005, I was pleasantly... surprised at how authentic the food was being they are located at the northern tip of Michigan. The fried shrimp platters weredelicious, my husband loved the Crawfish Etoufee. I had a bowl of the Gumbo Ya Ya, I am not a fan of okra so I was glad itdidn't have it in it. It was good and I enjoyed it but I did think they used a little to much of the filé spice, but that isjust my opinion. The sweet tea is made by them and as a heads up, they put cinnamon in it. I ended up just getting unsweetenedtea and adding my own sugar. My sister, husband and brother in-law enjoyed a few of their speciality drinks like the Category 4Hurricane (complete with an umbrella in it that looked like it had been through a hurricane) lol. Dinner ran around $65,00 for 2people with a couple drinks, iced tea, 2 dinner entrees and a cup of soup. Read more

Now this place has some amazing food. Everything I got here was excellent. The service was great! The bartender was amazing and... came up with a great selection of mocktails. I'd recommend this place if you like creole food! It definitely surprised me that Icould get some good down South food way up in the UP. Read more

First time here we got takeout / to go and the seafood bisque was amazing! I liked it so much that I ordered a large the next... day and they gave me a half full styrofoam cup. It was skinnier but filled to the same height as the small cup we got. I markedthe soup line, filled it with water when I was done, and poured it into the smaller container to confirm. Less soup! The personat the counter insisted it was a large. I feel like I got shorted :( Edit: Talked to the chef who was apologetic and offered tomake things right , good customer service on her end. Added back a star because it was good bisque. Read more
