Experienced the rise and fall of another once great restaurant. We’ve been eating monthly at Breakneck Tavern for years. It... had really everything: amazing food, great drinks, our favorite band playing. But slowly over this past year we’ve startedreceiving poorer and poorer quality of food and service. One of my great loves is a lamb rack which I always get at Breckneck ortheir sister restaurant. The past couple times it’s been cooked medium -medium well when ordered medium rare. Today, ourserver asked if we’re ready for our check and a dessert menu before our food came. A few minutes later, she brought out ourmeals which had very obviously died in the window and had been covered in sauce to fix the error. Maybe that’s fine at theOlive Garden, but the last I’d expect from a restaurant of that caliber. When we brought it up to the manager, she told us itwas being fixed while in the same breath arguing that the lamb was not completely well done. Overall, its become a sadrealization I can’t indulge this craving there anymore nor patronize a restaurant which has lost sight of its main mission ofhospitality. To note though, their sister restaurant, Kaufman Taverns, is still absolutely amazing and well worth the trip! Iguess that’s the difference between good and bad management? Read more

I've been here many times and have always had a great experience. Tonight, I dined on a chicken caesar salad with triple... chicken & bacon. To say it was good would be an understatement. Outstanding. Glorious. Top notch. Next level. Heck, I'd even sayit was perfect. Their wings are also outstanding, but I didn't have any tonight. One of my favorite wing places. Anotherhonorable mention is the mac n cheese. It's fantastic. It's always busy here, but I always manage to get in without a wait.Their takeout is really good and wrapped properly if you don't want to sit inside. Read more

Incredible! I’ve been here for lunch with my girls club a few times and I’ve raved about this place so much that my hubby... wanted to go for Fathers Day. We went on Saturday. The vibe inside is industrial. The size of the place is deceiving, therestons of seating inside and out. They also take reservations. The bar area is large too. We started with drinks, my son andhusband ordered long Islands, they were so strong they each only had one, lol. They have a really good sized menu. Appetizerswere roasted brussel sprouts w/ garlic aioli, it was very good, but the seared scallops are absolutely what I will always startout with. It is topped with a good amount of this cajun cream and we had quite a bit left when finished and the waitress poppedover with warm sourdough bread to “mop” up the sauce. There was not a trace left on that plate. Mouth watering is the bestdescription I can give and its not spicy, just full of flavor and seared perfectly. The beet salad with goat cheese was justlovey. I ordered a Mushroom Burger cooked medium. It was crazy juicy. My husband ordered the Blackened Mahi, he said it wasexcellent. The dish of the night belonged to the Rack of Lamb, it was cooked medium rare and was literally the most tender pieceof meat I’ve ever eaten. It was paired with mushroom risotto, cooked perfectly, very creamy and had great mushroom flavor.Staff was super friendly, the restaurant and facilities were very clean. This is definitely “our place” now. I reallycan’t wait to come back. Read more

Amazing dinner for all 3 of us! Really nice atmosphere and great service. The food was fantastic. We started with the... Calamari which was really good. My wife had the Beet Salad with Salmon (which she loved), my dad had the Crab Cakes which hesaid were some of the best he’s had and I had the Scallops which were excellent. We all split a Bread Pudding for dessertwhich was also amazing. It was a really nice evening out and I’d highly recommend the Breakneck Tavern! Read more

First time going to Breakneck and wverything was pretty good. We got the house sausage cheese dip, fried pickles, and bruschetta... for appetizers. All 3 were DELICIOUS! I got the shrimp and grits for my entrée. It was good, though I wish there was moregrits, and less of the red sauce surrounding the grits. I am a southern born girl (New Orleans!) and I do love grits so it wasnice to see it on a menu as I very often don't. I will say, I was VERY excited to see my beloved beignets on the menu and didn'tlook past them on the menu before I ordered them. Alas, they were NOT beignets. It totally broke my heart, because again it'svery specific to my birth place and I was so happy to get them because it's been too long, and I barely finished one. Thewaitress was very kind and took it off our bill though. Overall, great place. Good atmosphere, great service! Read more
