As out of town guests staying nearby we were hopeful for a good Pittsburgh experience as we remembered from our childhood From... the time we walked in to when we left it was a great experience. We were greeted by friendly staff seated where we wanted to be,asked for extra such and such food served promptly just the way we ordered. Alexandra was our waitress 7/11/22. She was friendlyand attentive. The next night 7/12 Derek waited on us. I want to give a huge shout out to Jodi. She was our server on the day that we ate at Max and Erma's on their first Tuesday... reopening since Covid. Jodi is a hard worker and even though the restaurant was understaffed, she made sure our drinks and foodcame out in a timely manner. She was professional and you can tell that she is a hard work and loves what she does. Our food wasfantastic! I highly recommend the Dynamic Duo for lunch. The Reuben was delicious as was the chicken tortilla soup. Mydaughter's steak was cooked the way she ordered it and she really enjoyed it. Got a burger and boyfriend got boneless wing special and both were great. Very good waitress also. Went early (3pm) so food came... out fast. Not completely impressed w the cookies they sell, weren't horrible but wasn't fantastic either but for $1.69 it wascheap enough to not care either way Read more
We ordered the pretzel sticks for an appetizer. They had a little crunch on the outside and super soft on the... inside...delicious! Loved their house dressing. Had the boneless wings in the cherry cola bbq flavor . sauce was very tasty and wings had a nice crunch . got the combo burger ,... side salad and cookie . burger was good . the chocolate chip cookies were delicious. i will be visiting again Read more
I was happy to find this restaurant as many of their locations in the Midwest (Indiana, Illinois, etc) are permanently closed.... The first Max & Ermas location I ever went to was in the Chicago area in 2006-now closed too. It's not quite how I remember itas far as taste is concerned. The burger wasn't as good at this location and I didn't see the ice cream bar they use to have.Definitely has gone downhill. I hope they recover. They had a limited menu in use too. It used to be one of my favoriterestaurant chains. The waitress was friendly though. Read more

I ordered the Irish pub burger. Sooo very good. Not over cooked and the burger was juicy! The seasoned fries were nice and hot... when they arrived at the table. The iced tea was freshly made. Greg was my server and he was very friendly and attentive. If Ihave to critique anything, it would be the bathroom. Not very well cared for. It made me a bit hesitant to stay.
