Based on the great reviews for their fried catfish, we chose that over the BBQ [our primary reason for going there]. We ordered... the 2 Pc. & Fries, but they brought 4 pieces on each plate. Why?Because the fillets were very thin and obviously old or frozen.Almost impossible to break apart, the fish was like "mush" and the breading was so tough it was almost impossible to chew. Theyrefused to substitute a small cup of Cole Slaw for the large portion of Fries, so charged an additional $0.75 for the switch. Iwouldn't have posted a bad review for the "substitution" issue, but "AWARD Winning" was posted everywhere about the FISH, whichwas some of the worst we have ever had. Based on our experience, we can't recommend their BBQ either - It's not "AWARD Winning"and might be worse than the Fish. Read more
Best catfish filets in the area. Been going here for over 20 years just for the catfish and we still drive over from Longview... for it. I can honestly say that every time it?s been great. If you want fried catfish and you?re in the area, stop by and getsome. Pro tip, ask for sliced jalapeños to go with the coleslaw and you?ll be in high cotton. Unfortunately I can?t sayanything about their other food because the only thing I?ve ever ordered from them is the catfish filets. **EDIT** Decided tostop in with the family September 4, 2021 for some catfish before the races. Pretty good for our first time. Came early before the crowd, which was fortunate because we didn?t know it would be that... busy. Had one of Marshall?s hometown favorites, the chopped pork sandwich. Very tasty! The potato salad was the perfect sidewith this hearty sandwich. Read more
Delicious meats and sandwiches. The portions are very generous, so you definitely get good bang for buck. I really found the... cheeseburger filling. The fries are thick and flavorful & crisp. The pulled pork was great. Some of the meat was dry d.o saucewas needed. BBQ sauce was on point. The fish fillets were delicious. Also very friendly service from Tracey. I recommend it.I'll be back.
