Went here with some friends had a pretty alright night. Had a lovely waitress he was really kind. Had severely over seasoned... chicken and shrimp so mediocre best food wise but I had a decent enough night. Read more
Cold food long wait for food,so disappointed ???? since we were bringing a family member and veteren for a day out. He ordered a... steak which was mostly gristle/fat,the waitress was willing to bring another but that one wasn't much better. Read more
Tera is literally the best person there. I hardly ever go out. But I said tonight I needed to get social interaction for some... reason. And I normally don?t go in anywhere , I prefer fast food or to pick up mu order And even though the place was packed andvery stressful for the employees she kept her cool and made it enjoyable experience!! Stopped in to grab dinner and a few beers. Anna, the bartender made the visit fantastic. She was super busy yet very attentive... and funny! Food was good and the staff seemed engaged with their guests. The place got super busy and the employees seemed tokeep right up with the demands. Good job Marshalltown Applebee's! 5 stars to Anna! The food was incredibly disappointing. We ordered cheese sticks and they tasted like they were thrown in the microwave but not... for long enough. My husbands ribeye looked and tasted like it was poorly cooked and undercooked on a George Forman grill. Itdidn?t even look like a legit steak and part of it was raw. He ordered Mac n cheese for his side which was a $2 upgrade. The Mactasted like overcooked Kraft Mac and cheese with zero flavor. I can make better macaroni from a 99 cent box. My quesadilla wasokay. Not sure if it?s Applebees overall, the cook tonight or this particular location but we were also let down by our lastvisit as well. At the end of the day, we never expect fabulous food coming here but for $50+tip this was just unacceptable.Won?t be coming back. Read more
