Cold food long wait for food,so disappointed ???? since we were bringing a family member and veteren for a day out. He ordered a... steak which was mostly gristle/fat,the waitress was willing to bring another but that one wasn't much better. Read more
Tera is literally the best person there. I hardly ever go out. But I said tonight I needed to get social interaction for some... reason. And I normally don?t go in anywhere , I prefer fast food or to pick up mu order And even though the place was packed andvery stressful for the employees she kept her cool and made it enjoyable experience!! Stopped in to grab dinner and a few beers. Anna, the bartender made the visit fantastic. She was super busy yet very attentive... and funny! Food was good and the staff seemed engaged with their guests. The place got super busy and the employees seemed tokeep right up with the demands. Good job Marshalltown Applebee's! 5 stars to Anna! Terrible food. My chicken sandwich was dry no sauce of any kind. My fries were very cold. My husband ordered a steak medium, it... could have gotten up and walked off the table. Very suprised usually the food and service is much better then this. We'll tryagain but not for awhile. Read more
Food was not cooked all the way. I understand closing is at 11pm and I dined in at 9:45pm but listening to a vacuum right next... me while I try to conversate and eat is pretty annoying. I?m surprised they didn?t ask me to lift my feet for them to mop. Thestaff was making sure the hostess knows if anyone walks in to say the kitchen closes soon and we can't serve you. Apparentlyrunning through word tracks with her was more important then giving us our check so we could leave. Still waiting 15 min laterand still no one to ask for our bill. Arrived at 5:05ish we got drinks and our order taken promptly. Waiting over an hour without our waitress coming back to check on... us, we tried to stop her and she kept walking away, finally after about an hour, we got her attention, we asked where our foodwas because we have been waiting almost an hour and we had a hungry 4 year old, her reply was she was going to go get themanager. She came back and told us she never put our order in because she had 2 more tables at the same time. We decided to notwait any longer and pay for our drinks and leave, she said ?I was just going to give you some free appetizers?. We gave her ourcard, she came back saying she would pay for the drinks to make it right. I understand stuff like that happens, but any goodwaitress should notice her customers waiting longer than usual for food, and it?s pathetic that the manager on duty didn?t comeover. The food was incredibly disappointing. We ordered cheese sticks and they tasted like they were thrown in the microwave but not... for long enough. My husbands ribeye looked and tasted like it was poorly cooked and undercooked on a George Forman grill. Itdidn?t even look like a legit steak and part of it was raw. He ordered Mac n cheese for his side which was a $2 upgrade. The Mactasted like overcooked Kraft Mac and cheese with zero flavor. I can make better macaroni from a 99 cent box. My quesadilla wasokay. Not sure if it?s Applebees overall, the cook tonight or this particular location but we were also let down by our lastvisit as well. At the end of the day, we never expect fabulous food coming here but for $50+tip this was just unacceptable.Won?t be coming back. Read more
