Wayward is a cornerstone of Marshalltown entertainment. Good bowling, surprisingly excellent food (not just good for a bowling... alley, one of the best restaurants in town), an excellent seasonal patio/bar with live entertainment, and very reasonably pricedgroup entertainment make this a good spot for any group looking for a good time! I really like this place, the staff was super friendly, the food was great - especially the cheese curds. But it was all... overshadowed by the fact it was so hot in there. Our entire group felt like we just took a shower it was so hot. Other than thatthe place is perfect but it's hard to relax and have fun when youre sweating. Will come back again though just hopefully nottill it's cooler out. Read more
We came here every Friday for our family outing, and we loved sitting on the patio with our two toddlers while eating delicious... food! The bowling is particularly fun, and isn't like any other bowling alley we've been to. My only wish is that we could'vegotten more babysitters to enjoy their outdoor bar area and played some shuffleboard! Read more
Definitely not your grandfather's lanes. It is like a Dave & Buster's had a kid with a bowling alley, and it was raised by your... favorite pizza joint. I have been here twice in the last several weeks: once for my niece's birthday party and once for a workparty. Enjoyed it very much both times. Friendly, attentive staff. Always a great time at Wayward! Excellent food and a variety of beers on tap. Everything I have tried for food has been... fantastic, but I must recommend the Cuban! The staff has been a pleasure upon every visit, and I can't wait to stop out againsoon! Read more
Good bowling, my white Russian could've been better, they should make them with milk instead of cream, it wasn't very drinkable
