If you have any sort of special dietary needs, make sure you repeat yourself several times or they WILL mess up your order. This... has been happening to my mother now for years here, and it's clearly a pattern, not a particular employee. The food in generalis mediocre and lukewarm, the atmosphere is just...okay, and the service is terrible especially for takeout. No longer givingthem our business. Read more
Go to Marshfield every summer and look forward to dining at Mama Mia?s. Especially love the pizza. Was there today and pizza was... TERRIBLE. Crust was not freshly made. Our server was fantastic! She was very attentive and personable, and she gets 5 stars. Unfortunately, I cannot give Mama Mia's... itself more than three stars. This particular location was on the dirty side. There was food on the seat of a booth, a usednapkin under our table, and the rug looks as if it's been years since it's been cleaned. The a/c was actually too cold, andcondensation could be seen all along the edges of the ceiling vent. Mind you, it was early, maybe 45 minutes after opening, soit's not as if it was super busy( though that would not be an excuse for not doing basic cleaning). It's a shame as theVisciarello's( sp) who own the local chain cannot put forth the effort and money to ensure that every location, whether superbusy or not , lives up to the reputation that they've built over the years. And lastly, they have changed their sauce recipe.Where before it was thicker with great flavor, it is now overly thin and bland. Seems as if the owners do not seem to care aboutquality as much. We are from out of town and ordered pizza for takeout. Their pizza is different from chain pizza places and is very good. I... normally don't eat leftover pizza but it was so good that I ate it the next day and it still tasted just as good. We didn't caretoo much for their garlic bread but their pizza is a must.
