I am a very big critic when it comes to barbecue but when I tell you Willie Jewels Old School bbq in Augusta Georgia is the best... I have had that I can remember. I didn't find out about it until a couple of weeks ago and I have already been 3 times. I'vealways passed by and just looked over at it and said I wonder what that barbecue tastes like and then I tried it and one day,and when I did, trust me, I will go to no other barbecue place in Augusta now except this 1. The ribs are falling off the bonetinder the chicken and ribs are smoke just right and the brisket just melts in your mouth. I can't say enough about this place,I am really enjoying myself. Today my daughter and I visited Willie Jewell's for lunch. Although we hadn't been in quite some time, I knew they would not... disappoint. From the southern hospital to the courtesy of the cooks, our overall experience was phenomenal. Our food arrivedhot, fresh and timely. I ordered the 3-meat combo with Mac & cheese and Brunswick ste for the sides. My daughter ordered thehalf slab with fries. For dessert we enjoyed one of our favorites, the bread pudding. The price was ABSOLUTELY fair for theportions we received. The ribs were so tender, the chicken was juicy, and the pulled pork was tender and flavorful. Absolutely delicious BBQ, tried the "Bo Hawg" it had pulled pork, cheddar cheese and a half smoked sausage link split in the... middle on a nice warm bun. The sandwich was very tasty, did not need any sauce at all, I used the sauce from the bar for myfries... The sauces were pretty good and were warm. Just had lunch here. This place is bomb! The staff was very friendly, manager checked in on us and the whole experience was... great. The food was sticking to my ribs within the first few bites it and was so comforting to me as someone who?s born andraised in the south but has been living on the east coast for the past few years. I know my bbq ???? The sauces were amazing andovershadowed any basic sauce you?d find at a store or bbq chain. Beer was extra cold and the brisket was perfectly tender. Very impressed with the customer service. But let's talk about the hefty serving of hash and rice! It's meaty! It's rich! It's... not mysterious! The brisket was also good and there are 4 bbq sauces to choose from ranging from sweet to spicy. Woulddefinitely refer to family and friends. Read more
