Came in for the geocaching event last weekend, and was happy I stopped in late on Fri. I just missed the kitchen closing, but... when the bartender found out we drove a few hours to get there and we were hungry, she offered to make us some sandwiches. Thechicken sandwich and fries were really good, and I'm not saying that just because we were hungry. Very tender inside and a tastycrunch outside. Fries were cooked perfectly. Add that to a nice cold beer, and that's a win in my book. Great service here! Thank you for taking care of us. Read more

This was our first visit. We came for food and a couple of beers. The food was slightly slow to come out, but it was all hot and... very good upon arrival. I would definitely go back. Read more

Our waitress was very friendly and very accommodating, she went above and beyond my expectations. I wish I could say the same... for the food, it was greasy and overpriced, I spent my birthday evening sick from eating the food, will not return to eat everagain. Read more

This is a new establishment in a very small town in Martinsville, IL, which also happens to be my home town. The bar itself is... something to see. It is spacious and welcoming. The menu offers a diverse selection and our food was delicious. So...If youever find yourself between Indianapolis and St. Louis, just get off I70 at the 136 mile marker and stop for a bite to eat. Youwon't be disappointed! Read more

A place where you can go see Kenny Rogers and Taylor Swift. I am glad I stopped in. I drove all the way from NJ to OK and... decided to take a small detour into town to explore and eat. I am glad I did. The locals treated me like family. This one niceolder gentleman in particular that looks like Kenny Rogers or a skinner version of Santa paid for my meal. Thewaitresses/bartenders are also lovely. They love to joke around and were so nice and polite. There is this one younger waitressthat looks like Taylor Swift with glasses. Confession: I am a minority (Asian). Sometime I am a little skittish about drivingthrough the backwoods/boonies (think Texas chainsaw massacre). However, this trip is telling me that my fear about ruralAmericans not welcoming in outsiders are irrational. If anything this trip shows me that small towns (especially Martinsville)is what makes America beautiful. I am putting this bar and this town on my rest stop the next time I travel through Illinois.
