I ate at Bleu two times in 5 days - both for lunch. I would like to say everything was fabulous, and it mostly was - the french... food is prepared with wonderful ingredients and the seafood is fresh. And the service is experienced and friendly. It's a verycomfortable restaurant with really good food. That said, stay away from the chicken caesar. The chicken was tasteless, thesalad was overdressed. But what was I thinking ordering such a dish in a restaurant like this? When the waiter asked me how itwas, I said, 'so-so.' He very politely offered to exchange for something else, but it wasn't the restaurant's fault that Iordered a silly dish. It was mine. Anyway, try not to get that one. Read more
I’ve been going to Bleu for years with family and/or friends, and it’s hands down the greatest and most valuable restaurant... on the Cape! AMAZING! It’s been a long time since I’ve had a meal this wonderful while dining out. We got a sampling of apps: salmon tare... tare, fig prosciutto tarte, and the oysters. All 3 were absolutely delicious. I got the duck breast in the raspberry glaze, andit was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend! Read more
I enjoyed my experience here. Worth every penny. Everything I ate was flavorfull and satisfying. Fair portion sizes as well.... Good date place as we went on our anniversary last night. The filet was great. Tarte tatin awesome. Creme brulee for dessert.Good drink n wine menu as well! Nothing negative to say besides my waitress needing to rush around due to summer tourist rushand understaffing. Best dinner I have had put in a while! Read more
Très magnifique! My fiancé and I have been meaning to come here for a long time and tonight we finally did. Boy have we been... missing out! First, a perfect location with wonderful interior and exterior dining and decor. Tastefully done and elegant fromthe tables to the menus. Straightforward menu with delectable options, a great drink and wine list, and interesting specials.Great service which was timely for the setting: not too fast not too slow. Every bite of food was phenomenal. Not one thing wasout of place and perfectly balanced. The Truffle Honey Fig Tarte Tartin was wonderful. I had the roasted mallard duck breast foran entrée and it was cooked to (I can't emphasize this enough) perfection. At this point I was already happy, and I was eagerfor desert. We got the pistachio crème brûlée. I want to use every outdated french exclamation I can. This was a perfectdesert. I don't use this lightly, it was actually perfect. It was my first time for dinner. I was alone so I ate at the bar. The service was excellent from start to finish. I ordered the... breast of mallard duck with risotto, asparagus goat cheese and a honey glaze and it was the best duck serving I have ever hadand I have been to Paris twice. The wine was a Louie Latour Chardonnay. The food and wine was excellent and when you add thevery pleasant atmosphere and exemplary service it made for a very good night. The bill was $64 for two glasses of wine & dinner(no desert) plus tip. It was a great dinning experience and I will be back. Next time I will try the dinning room, which looksvery inviting. Read more
