Was there last September and the food and drinks were just OK and overpriced. The views make it.
First of all, great staff and service!!! They get five stars but corporate gets zero. As a year round homeowner in new Seabury,... I was extremely disappointed to hear that the Lure has gone private. I hope corporate increases their pay to offset the loss ofbusiness but we know how that goes. I wish I could support the team. Hopefully there are a few members out there with a littlemore common sense then management and can voice an inside opinion against this change for a quick reversal. Read more
Great location right on the beach. Private club. You can only get in with your membership card or with invitations. Handicap... accessible. The food and drink menus are simple but have everything what you need. Reasonably priced. A few gluten free optionsavailable on the menu. I had Chicken Cesar salad without croutons. It was very delicious. it was an incredibly fantastic band -Syndicate of Cape Cod playing the whole night when I was there. They made everyone sing and dance. Fun times. Read more
Very sad to arrive for ladies vacation to not be aloud to have a wonderful experience at The Lure. Our family and friends past... visits have been 5 stars. Apparently, you now need to be a New Seabury Club member. So, don?t waste your time in traffic,you?ll be turned away. So sorry for the employees and their pocketbooks. Read more
UPDATE- So the Brain trust who runs the Lure have decided to make this absolutely amazing place Member ONLY for 2021 summer... onwards! What a major kick in the sack. We live in New Seabury and am very disappointed in this poor decision. Total BS. NO WAYam I going to spent the 60k necessary to hang there after 5:30 in the eve after work. I have spent more than I care to mentionhere and beyond bummed that this poor decision by club management is even being considered. Especially since the place is aghost town at times after the t times for the club. BAD IDEA! BOOOOOOO. Besides the elitist decision the staff, beer andatmosphere are amazing. Amazing staff! Our waitress was very warm, and attentive. Great, oceanside, relaxing location. Chili in the evening if breezy so... take a hoodie along. Had the choweder and crab cakes. Be sure to wear a mask, be kind, tip well, and just make the staff's liveseasier especially now during COVID - don't be an entitled douchebag. Saw the staff handling a ridiculous customer asking them towear a mask who was refusing. Very professional. Read more
If you can only grab one lobster roll this season, make sure it's from the Lure. Sure, the price is steep for them, but it's so... worth it. It's like 2 whole lobsters on a bun! Please note; the Lure is currently only for members and their guests. Read more
