Nice ice cream shop that appropriately has that hometown shop vibe. The ice cream selection is small yet surprisingly decent.... The staff were so very friendly and the prices were reasonable. Also worth noting that the shop owner is a local author and thetrilogy he wrote sits on display, ready to purchase. On my most recent visit I ordered the razzle, their version of a blizzard.I'm a big fan of this kind of treat and have ordered it from large chains and small mom and pop shops. This was one of the best.I ordered two mix-ins, and there wasn't a spoonful I had that lacked in cookie dough or brownie bits. Every. Single. Spoonful.This is rare. They don't skimp. Love going here with the kids. Staff is so nice and always helpful. Great ice cream options with inside or outside seating.
Location: 350 S Jefferson, Mason. Uses MSU Dairy ice cream and soft serve. MSU Dairy ice cream is of very high quality. Scooped... portions are on the smaller side. But the pricing is fair. Store clean and bright. Quick friendly service. Store open all yrround. Outside sidewalk seating available. Shaded in the afternoon. Lots of free prkng. Update: Oct '22. Was told that store nolonger has MSU Dairy ice cream. Ice cream provided by several different companies; including Hudsonville. Read more

Awsome place. Nice friendly staff and creative ice cream flavors that rotate. Just had the birthday cake and it was absolutely... fantastic. They can make almost any flavor into a shake. Wife got the rush road in a shake. That's a coffee flavor and she lovedit. Read more
I love the owner! He's always so kind and always keeps his store open late when we're doing movie night on the lawn so that... people may use the restroom, I've always thought that was great! He hires Mason High School students every year as well.Wonderful service, kind staff, and respectful prices in my opinion. Love it! Read more
We absolutely love The Daily Scoop! This is a local gem. They have so many flavors, including the classics as well as unique... and interesting choices. Sundaes, razzles, and the new cinnamon roll ice cream sandwich are some of our favorites. In additionto the great ice cream and even some sandwiches, the staff and ownership are super friendly and the store is always clean andwell decorated. Just incredible all around! Read more
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They seemed happy to help us. This place has a great location, and really gives a sense of... place in the small town it is in. And above all else I had the best chocolate malt of my life (made with thier soft serve ifyou want the same experience).... and I've had my share. Read more
