Visiting and dining at Pickity Place is a unique and delightful experience. In regard to the dining, the taste and presentation... of their selections is superb. The service is top notch. It is amazing how they are able to serve so many people so efficientlyand expertly every day. They emphasize the connection of their establishment with the original Red Riding Hood illustrations, which is an enchanting theme. Many people we spoke with indicated that they make visiting Pickity Place a recurring experience;sometimes as often as once a month since that is the cycle of their changing menu. We will definitely be back again. Beforewarned, however, that getting there requires travelling some rough dirt roads for several miles. Read more

Absolutely love the atmosphere here, if you need a place to recharge your soul, you have found it. Herbs, teas, trinkets and... more, you cannot leave here without some unique treasure! So many perfect spots to sit for a coffee or tea and goodcompany. We met two of the most adorable garden cats, Lily and Poppy, my daughter couldn't have been more excited! The staffhas always been welcoming and helpful with questions on plants. The most adorable gift shops, wide selection in the greenhouse. The one thing I have not had the opportunity for is the restaurant, but based on smell alone while touring the gardens it iswell worth the reservation! Had a really phenomenal experience dining here for a Sunday lunch! Although their menu states ?we are not responsible for food... allergies,? we were able to call in advance, and they kindly accommodated us and provided more information about the ingredientsin each course. We also had a one year-old in the group, and the staff was truly understanding and even brought out a cookie forhim to help calm him down! The courses were filling, beautifully plated, and tasty. Highlights were the ripe melon soup andsummer vegetable arancini! The complimentary drinks are lovely too?personal favorite was the strawberry basil lemonade. Read more

Loved it! The food was wonderful though a little sweet for my usual palette since I have been eating more savory lately but... still very good! I had the chicken entrie. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff very friendly. The company was great. Thegardens were lovely. I bought same herbs and they had unusual varieties that you don't always see at big box places. I plan togo back sooner than the last time I was last there in the late 70s or early 90s. Read more

To be honest I think my expectations were very high. It's out in the woods, bumpy dusty road, zero handicap friendly, narrow... doors. Cramped eating spaces, loud, conversations I want particularly wanting to hear as if I were seated at that table but youcould literally reach from one table to another and grab a salt shaker. The food was good, but the serving sizes were off, my80 year old aunt got a 5 Oz portion of blackberry glazed short rub and mine was barely 2. It was a unique experience, theplates looked pretty and it was 30.00 per person, for 5 people it was 200.00 tab Read more

May 2022 experience. Very tasty and flavorful food. Call ahead for reservation. 3 seatings during the lunch time. Pre-fixe menu,... included bread, spread, soup, salad, main course and desert. Nonalcoholic drinks were delicious (strawberry basil lemonade andmocha). Lovely grounds, peaceful. Best tiny library you will get to see anywhere. A place to return to, for sure. Read more

Fascinating history, amazing food, attentive and polite wait staff, and refreshing beverages. They also have plenty of gift... stores on site to take a piece of Pickity back home with you. The type of place that?s worth the 1 hour+ drive most folks willhave to take to get the place that?s through the woods and over the river, to Pickity place you?ll go. Great for people of allages and food preferences, and relatively affordable for a four course meal. Menu changes monthly! Read more
