Clean and bright atmosphere, friendly and warm staff, affordable and delicious eats. Breakfast was delicious -- biscuits and... sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, potatoes, gotta, grits, French toast. Good coffee. Fresh flowers on table is an appreciateddetail. You can tell the staff work hard to keep this restaurant operating well. Option to eat outside as well. Definitely wouldeat here again! Great Menu, Great Staff, Great Value! On my first visit today, I had the good luck of having Grace as mg server. She made a... good meal better, by offering suggestions based on my questions. She then Delivered my coffee EXACTLY as I wanted it (I?mpretty fussy) and brought the meal to me with my specific adjustments as well. Grace is one of those rare servers who actuallylistens. And she gets it right. She was friendly but never too chatty or overbearing, which is a skill more servers need tolearn. Yet when I raised my hand to get her attention?She was right there. If Half Day Cafe trains them this way, BRAVO! If not,you lucked out when you hired this one. The menu apologized for the cost increase, but honestly the meal was a value for theprice. The place was clean & tidy. I personally saw a manager sanitizing tables between guests, and the toilets-can we talk?-have a No-Touch Flush. I look forward to returning. We very much enjoyed our breakfast here. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful, and her and the other people working there... genuinely seemed like they didn?t hate their jobs which really made a difference in terms of the atmosphere. I had an omelettewhich was one of the best I?ve had in quite a while. Coffee was decent too actually. My wife also had an omelette and she alsoenjoyed hers. They have a full Coffee bar too which also seemed pretty legit (espresso based drinks and whatnot). Read more
