We were first timers here and will be definitely going back. My partner and I split the roughneck cheeseburger and Mac and... cheese and a huge spud topped with chopped brisket, bacon, etc. Both were very good but the burger was our favorite! Arrived and was seated quickly, however they seated us in a back booth that was dirty. Surrounded by a large table with very... loud people and children. There were MANY other open tables. After seating us in a far from ideal place, we then sat there foratleast 15 minutes with no interaction from any server. After another 5 mins past with no acknowledgement we decided to leave.Said we were leaving to the hostess who sat us and her was response was okay have a good day. Stopped at this Mason City location while going through Iowa. Decent barbeque joint. Got the lunch special which came with two... meats (I ordered pulled pork and chicken breast), a side, and some buttered toast ($12.49). Two bbq sauces available at thetable to kick up the flavor. This place was delicious. I got the two meat plate. My choices were pulled pork and brisket. The order came with two sided and I... picked the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The smoked meats were delicious. Great flavor and not all dried up. The sideswere great as well. Those mashed potatoes were yummy! I love trying new places while traveling for work.
