Went to Umberto's Massapequa for dinner. We decided to dine in since we usually take out. The food was good (especially the... mussels) but the service was pretty awful. Our original waitress didn't understand us well (I ordered mussels white and sherepeated mussels white clam sauce). Another guy brought our food out to the bar. He was really nice, but his thumbs were insideall of our plates when he carried them. That was off-putting. The original waitress, who I think was a bus person in training,leaned so far across my lap to clear plates her torso was in my lap. It was uncomfortable. My wife and I were shocked at thelack of professionalism at such an established restaurant. We get better service at the local diners, which is not saying much. I would recommend taking food out from Umberto's but would not recommend dining in. Read more

Wonderful place to celebrate our mother's 86th birthday. The food was excellent. The staff had no problem adding two more people... to our reservation. Even on a busy night, the service was was fantastic. They made our night thoroughly enjoyable. Read more

Phoned in a half mushroom/olive half plain pie for delivery. Showed up as in the pic. Total mess. Crust was part soggy and party... oberly chewy. Shameful. Read more

Antionio at this restaurant is amazing! Always remembers your name, always smiling! He goes above and beyond to provide... excellent service. The food is delicious and we dine here every week! Highly recommend this Umbertos in Massapequa Park! Mikebehind counter, the chef, the waitress and waiters are very friendly. Food is the best! Never disappoints. Have had partieshere as well! 1 - rushed 2 - server took the pizza tray and put it on top of the dirty dishes and put the bread basket on the tray with the... pizza. I have never in my life experienced anything like this. Was totally disgusting and very disappointed. The bread baskethad hit the other dish so it had food all over it and it ended half on my pizza. Needless to say I won’t be eating the leftover pizza nor will I ever return. Read more
