My initial visit to Maloneys was in September of this year. was a spur of the moment craving and was in the neighborhood. as of... this writing in November Ive been back 3 additional times. I love the french onion soup and Portuguese shrimp personally. Iveordered several other items in my subsequent visits including the bleu cheese mussels. they are delicious. My initial visit imet probably the best server Ive come across anywhere in Abbie. she is very attentive and knows her job and menu extremely well.we request Abbie whenever we go in. we now let her recommend whats best and what to try on that night we visit. She has awonderful personality and infectious laugh. makes for an excellent all around experience. well be back this weekend! Read more

***4 1/2 stars*** I love when your second choice ends up being the best choice. The Millennial Chum and I came here for lunch... this past Sunday after first walking over to an Italian place down the street that was busy hosting a private event and decidingto go somewhere else less chaotic. Maloney's is pretty non-descript; it's very easy to walk by without really noticing it, andthe interior is very dark and honestly kind of drab. We were seated in a booth that could have used an upgrade; you coulddistinctly feel the springs under the thin vinyl-like material on the seats. Some overall TLC would go a long way here. This isby and large a very positive review though - if they updated the décor and lightened it up so you could see your fellow diningcompanions and food, this would be perfect. We came directly from metal detecting on the beach and had worked up quite anappetite. I decided to go with the Shrimp Scampi Flatbread ($19), which absolutely hit the spot. Perfect choice; it's adecently-sized entrée that I devoured in a few minutes. And I mean this in the best possible way - it had kind of a naughtyPizza Hut vibe to it when it came to the cheese. You can see the visual similarities in the accompanying picture. Either you'rein the mood for that almost mozzy stick thickness, or you're not. It worked here, and the lemon/garlic/parsley seasoning was aperfect complement and reminder that this was more than just a generic cheesy flatbread. Given that I had emotionally preparedand had my heart set on an Italian meal, this was a great way to slightly pivot without actually leaving the genre altogether. The price point might be a LITTLE high, especially for this more blue collar shore area, but it wasn't egregious. The MillennialChum was in a fairly naughty mood for her standards and got the Margarita Quesadilla ($16), which was warmly received. A piecewas nobly offered to me, but I'm not into chunks of tomato (no offense) so the appeal of this particular dis Read more

The beer menu on here is one of the most expensive in the area. So many things available to sit down and enjoy. The food is... serviceable, nothing terrible but nothing that will blow your socks off, but you're not here for that anyway. Enjoy a night withsome friends and an extensive list of brews Read more

Usually love this place.. tonight the food was fair at best. The steak fries were so dried out and barely edible. The mussels... which are usually soooo delicious with loads of dipping sauce was dry as well. The bartender barley notices you. He walks by andwon't even ask if you need something. Even when you put your empty beer mug at the edge so he can see your empty... nope doesn'tmove. Seems like he's more interested in his regular patrons. Maybe the manager should sit back and watch because they arelosing business. Not sure I wanna come back. Read more

Great bar that always has a tremendous, vast selection of local and other domestic beer. They even have beers that sell out... quick and can be really hard to get. Food is pretty good. I was a fan of the buffalo flatbread and tots. The andouille sausagesandwich was mostly good but it would've been nicer if it was an actual closed sandwich instead of an open faced one. Next timeI'll definitely order something else. Read more
