Southwind Pizza features a menu with far more than simlly pizza -- be forewarned! We were a group of 10 ladies dining out for... our monthly lunch group (different place every time). And I was the only one who ordered and enjoyed pizza! But I can't tell youthe name of what I had, because the pizzas are each named after local, geographic places. The restaurants in Deltaville were full at 8pm on a Friday night in early October which was unexpected, so our group of five... friends drove to Mathews to get pizza. We called and ordered ahead, a Rigby Island pizza and a New Pointe pizza. When we arrivedthey were getting ready to close but the staff said we could sit on the porch to eat which was super nice of them. They servedus drinks and dessert as if we had ordered for dine in. We were so happy to have such friendly and welcoming service since itwas so late. Our waiter Michael was wonderful and we will certainly be back. That buttermilk parmesan dressing they have isworth the drive. Read more

The food was very good as was the service. We dined on the porch and it was the perfect day for it. I had (and thoroughly... enjoyed!) one of the specials, the flounder po' boy. The only down side was that they are understaffed like everyone else thesedays and that led to tables not being bussed in a timely manner. My wife and I enjoyed walking around the town, everyone we met was friendly. The historic courthouse area was interesting to... see. We took quite a few photos. My wife bought a cute purse at "Cattails gifts" and a couple sweaters and 2 pair of cool socksfor me from "The Cottage". Read more
Southwind has the best pizza. Fresh ingredients and vegan cheese option. The dessert was just as tasty.
