Went there for the first time saw it on check please and people had stated food was great it seemed like a nice spot let start... off by saying they need more people to serve and clean tables there only 2 servers and they were running around servicing allthe tables and cleaning all the tables the kitchen doesn’t know what food belongs to what table I ordered fried green tomatoesand had been waiting awhile the other hostess took my food and gave it to another table my food came and the portions were smalland incorrect the sauce on the poor boy was missing and a lot of pickles they need a hostess and more staff another table hadthe chef come out to correct their food instead of the staff just replacing with something else when I requested to speak to theowner never came out to speak with me when I arrived I thought it would be a great spot to have a birthday party for about 100people but seeing food on the floor and how they don’t have enough staff and owner never spoke to me I think not I’m astickler for cleanliness and mind you I got there when they opened food was delicious but small for what you pay Read more

Our waitress was friendly and helpful with helping us navigate our order. The pineapple mimosas were delicious, the fried... lobster was small but tasty, and the grit cake under the fish was huge! The fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms were crispyand flavorful…and I don’t even like fried green tomatoes OR mushrooms ????! All the sauces were good. A definite repeatvisit is in order! 1st time visiting my daughter and I ordered carryout. The waitress taking orders sort of lacked customer service and attention... to detail. The food was steaming hot, well the Mac and Cheese and Shrimp and Grits were really hot, but taste was just ok forShrimp and Grits. Mac and Cheese was good. Now my desert that was in the smallest container was some of the best peach cobbler Ihave had from a Chicagoland restaurant. I was so disappointed how cold it was from the touch of the outside of the container tothe actual food. I recommend that they make sure all food is consistent with the heating, no food in a bag should never be sohot it almost burn your legs when holding it and no food should never be cold when it is known as being served warm to hot. First time here. I had their fried green tomatoes for my appetizer and I had the Chicken New Orleans Pasta for my dinner. The... fried green tomatoes were good. It was my first time having it and I think they did a good job. The Chicken New Orleans Pastawas flavored well. It was just too creamy for me. It came with garlic bread that was very tasty. My sister‘s boyfriend had thefried catfish and he loved it. It was an overall positive experience. I want to try their breakfast next time. Read more

One day at work I mentioned that I've never had fried green tomatoes and always wanted to try them. My coworker told me I needed... to go to Hidden Manna to get true authentic southern fried green tomatoes. She was right - they were great and came with a yummyspicy sauce on the side. For our main courses, my husband chose fried fish and grits, I chose shrimp and grits, and my daughterchose Cajun macaroni and cheese with shrimp. We were able to choose our spice level with each dish which was nice, since mydaughter likes mild, I prefer medium, and my husband is a "set me on fire please". person. We all loved our meals (and eachother's) and the portions were so generous that we all brought half of our food home. We also wanted to save room for dessert! Our server recommended the key lime cheesecake, so my daughter and I shared that (and again, brought half of it home) and myhusband had a giant piece of caramel pound cake that he will be eating for at least the next three days. The homemade sweet teaand lemonade are both perfect compliments to the food, especially on a hot summer day like the day we went. The restaurantitself is in a converted mansion that has a very homey feel. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the other customers thatwere there were also super fun to talk to. Eating at Hidden Manna is like eating at a longtime friend's home with delicious foodmade with lots of love. We will be regulars there, without a doubt. Read more
