I enjoy going to this location for the half price margaritas every Tuesday and Thursday. These drinks have a good amount of... alcohol in them, they aren?t watered down and they taste really good. I love their chips and salsa, and the food isn?t badeither. I will say to check your bill before paying. They do add a 20% gratuity. I?m not sure if that is just with dinnerservice or with the half price margarita days or both, but be mindful of this when tipping. First off, best Pepe's in the area. The staff always treats us like family and the food is delicious. Very authentic. They have... homemade Horchata not that bag stuff which is an absolute bonus. My wife and I stopped in for margaritas. We had just had dinner at Texas Roadhouse which was excellent. We were celebrating our... 20 years together and while at Texas Roadhouse we had a margarita. On the way home we said hey let's stop by a place we like togo to it's half price Margarita day. We got there, the place was a little busy. Problem number one, they set us back in thecorner in the booth in the dark near the emergency exit. There were plenty of other open tables we just joked about it, becausewe didn't want it to ruin our day. Throughout our stay I made several attempts to get a server at one point I was totallyignored by a staff member. Our server knew us very well, but because he was busy he forgot two requests we waited on and neverreceived. The margaritas were salty with sour and lime mix, no alcohol whatsoever. I had to send back the first ones and thesecond ones weren't any better. We decided to leave and just add our own alcohol. Attempting to flag a server to get to go cups,I literally had to carry me and my wife's Margaritas across the entire restaurant . Four members of the staff watched me walkacross the restaurant while my drink was spilling over the tops of my fingers. No one step in to give me any assistance. I gotto the front, requested to go cups and voiced my frustration with management. He said that everyone was too busy. Mind you wejust left Texas Roadhouse with excellent service and they were very busy. Texas Roadhouse margaritas were $7.50, and they weredelicious, I regret we did not stay for more. We ended up paying Pepe's $18 and some change with two to go cups with Margaritasthat didn't have any alcohol in them at all. You MUST go. This is best dining experience you will ever find. Date night, or just time with friends. Nowhere compares. The... staff is welcoming and spirited, they begin to know you and your preferences. It?s the small things like that in which make adifference. I win a gift card from Pepe's in a raffle. I thought what a nice way to treat my husband who was on break from work. This was... absolutely hands down the worst food I have had since moving back to Chicagoland. The chicken in the burritos and tacos isshredded; my husband called it dog food. The corn tortillas for my tacos tasted gross. The girl that answered when I called inmy order was hard to understand and I could tell she was distracted while on the phone. When I went to pick-up or food they hadseveral drink dispenser equipment at the hostess stand. Two employees were making drinks from the machine while I was there andit made communication with the hostess hard to understand.
