Visited for the first time. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala taco, the Zorba Taco, and Steak and Cheese taco. All three were... really good. Will probably try the Gyro taco next time we go. Also the tortilla chips and trio sauce sure was good. We orderedat the counter and the food was brought to our table quickly. Definitely looking forward to the next trip! Read more
This place looks cool and vibey but the tacos themselves are sub par. The tortillas tasted like they haven?t been warmed up and... the composition of the tacos wasn?t that well put together. The Buffalo Chicken taco literally has a chicken strip that lookedlike the frozen chicken strips from Costco and tasted like it too. Expected a lot more for the price they charge per taco. Read more
Unfortunately was disappointed with our visit here. We have wanted to check it out since we never got to go in Asheville and it... was a huge let down. The menu is really all over the place. We wanted something simple to order but that was not an option. Ireally enjoyed the fish taco , the Buffalo chicken was really hard to eat as it?s just one giant chicken finger , flavor wasokay but very weird as a taco. My boyfriend hated his tacos and after trying them I don?t blame him. Both of the meats he gotwere over cooked and extremely dry. My son got a chicken quesadilla which to our surprise was fried chicken which seemsextremely odd in a quesadilla. We also got the corn which I know it?s a corn salad but to me it sounded similar to elote andwould have been SO much better hot. We took it home and warmed it up and it was enjoyed way more rhat way since it is a veryvery thick ?salad? The outside hammocks were nice to hang on after our meal but a bum was smoking out there and kept talking tomy son which made me extremely uncomfortable. i don?t see us returning. Read more
WOW! New favorite place! Randomly drive by last Saturday and decided to stop in for lunch. First off, parking lot is a bit... TIGHT so be gentle. :) More parking around to the right side and back as well. Big bright and easy to read menu! And plentyof choices! Nice that they have draft beer selections and even some "spirited" drink options. Best part about ordering? Youcan get your tacos on corn or flour tortillas! YAY!! We really don't like the corn tortillas so it was great to be able to askand choose! We ordered the following: Crispy Pork Belly - well, first off the belly really wasn't crispy, which ended upmaking it tough, had to request a knife to cut it up. Flavor was good though, just missed out on the crispy part. That pickledwatermelon rind? wha-WHAAAATT??! That was a spectacular addition to the taco! This one gets 3 Stars for the not-crispy belly,though - will likely try it again... Mole Roasted Duck - great flavor combo! 5 Stars Crispy Chicken BLT - Basically a bigcrunchy chicken strip with the fixin's, but it works! Was very good. 5 Stars BBQ Carnitas - really liked this one - pulledpork was moist and tender with a mildly sweet flavor. 5 Stars Street Corn Salad - a little spicy twang to it but good - mighthave been better with a dollop of sour cream. 4 Stars Sizes? Well they're not 2-bite-tacos like so many places that tout the"street tacos" offer. For 4 bux each, you're really getting your money's worth! Incredible tacos and yummy unique flavors!! This taco shop is my favorite from AVL. We are excited they?re here in Matthews!! ... Their menu is a variety of unique favorites like Greek tacos with lamb and feta and tomatoes, or Bangkok shrimp tacos with anasian style sauce. I love their tacos!! We also enjoyed their queso and chips. Hub likes the Korean taco bulgogi too! Their beermenu is good and they have margaritas!!! Parking is a lot and is big which helps the crowds. I believe this restaurant is fairly new to the area. So, my wife and I thought we would give it a try. Overall, I enjoyed my... experience. We started with the chips and queso?which I thought was pretty good. However, the chips are very salty?notsomething I would complain about but I can see how it may be a little too much for some people. I had three tacos: the steakand cheese, the fish taco, and the Zorba. By far, the steak and cheese was my favorite taco. The Zorba was also pretty good,although I would probably order something else next time. I was also looking forward to the fish taco but it wasn?t really thatgreat in my option. The fish didn?t really have a flavor and was heavily reliant on the chipotle sauce for taste. My wife isvegan and gave the Banh Mi Tofu taco a try. She wasn?t impressed. She said the tofu was strangely cold, as if it had been takenout of the refrigerator right before serving it. Overall, I would still come back and I look forward to trying other items ontheir menu. Amazing food not like anything else offered in Matthews area. I didn't know there were so many different taco flavors available.... I can't wait to go back and try them all!!! The staff was super friendly with a Caribbean style atmosphere. Highly recommendedfor lunch and dinner. Read more
Tonight was my first time eating at a White Duck Taco. It was delicious. My only problem is I cannot decide which was my... favorite. I really liked them all. I will be going back; some of the best I?ve ever eaten. Read more
