Not only do I have family and friends who attend this location all the time, myself and my daughter have came here at least 5... times. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it in and decided to order my daughter and I some food off of Doordash. One of theitems order were the fiesta nachos (which looked picture perfect). I was literally on chip 3 when I noticed I kept chewing andsomething didn?t seem right. I pulled something significantly big out of my mouth! A part of a bag it seemed! You could tell itwas almost maybe cooked in with food as well as just a piece of bag. I immediately stopped eating my food. Not only did I callthe doordash (not their fault) I called the restaurant and spoke with the ?manager? also. A manager who not once did sheapologize. She offered me a new meal or a remake or calling door dash for a refund. I asked how does things like this happen andwhat will be done to prevent this in the future because this is something that could have not only choked someone, but injuredthem severely if they wouldn?t of been able to realize until it was too late. This woman had the never to tell me she couldn?thear me because of the band in the background and that I needed to call her back in a hour? Wow. Completely rude, uncaring, andquite frankly doesn?t care about the safety of her guests. My biggest issue is if my daughter would have been eating this ectand something happend, or even myself, it would have been unknown until getting the object out. I have been coming to Don Juan's for years . They always had an awesome happy hour. Then due to covid they got rid... of.(understandable ) I have been getting flyers in the mail the past year or more that it came back. I received this specificone last week. I came up to get a drink and it was false advertisement. Drinks are not half off!!!!! She honored it because Ibrought to attention but this is not good business. My husband and I decided to do Mexican for dinner. We were greeted by two employees, and taken right to our seat. Our waiter was... great! We can not say enough great things about Vicente C.! He was prompt on making sure we didn't have any questions about themenu, brining our drinks out and even refills without needing to ask, when our order was taking longer- he communicated that aswell and made sure we didn't have somewhere we needed to be. A very nice restaurant. The wait staff was very good. She was attentive but not so much that she was interfering. The food was... good and the drinks were made well. I have never been here before until this visit. Our booth was clean, The restaurant was probably a 4 out of 5 on my cleanliness... scale. It was dinner, they were probably short-handed a little bit so give grace where it may be due. I didn't have to use thebathroom so I cannot rate the cleanliness of those to be fair. I did have tamales. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tamales thatI had. They did appear homemade but I think the tamales were made by an inexperienced hand. The dough was really thick andhonestly I did not enjoy that. I have had tamales before, I am not an expert, but I might not order those again from thisrestaurant unless I know what the batch looks like. It was really thick! My margarita was excellent, the enchiladas that I hadwere delicious. I have no complaints about anything else other than the tamales. Our waitress was fun and playfully gave me ahard time while my girlfriend sat across from me and enjoyed the humor. Indifferent food, indifferent service. I ordered carne asada, which is at many restaurants one of my favorite dishes due to the... tasty spices, and ideally scorch marks mixed with perfectly cooked meat. I didn't get any of that. Everything was bland, spicyV-8 is spicier than their salsa. Service wasn't very fast. I only got one refill for my water. There were only three smalltortillas. We were there on this Friday night. Got seated very quickly. Food was not up to par like usual. We ordered a 32oz... margarita. It definitely did not measure a 32oz. Tasty food and a great staff. This place happened to be right next to our hotel and what a welcome surprise. I started with the... spicy tortilla soup and settled on a number 4 combination beef platter. My guest had a fajita burrito and I?ve never seen such amassive burrito. The margaritas are very tasty with a wide variety. I was very pleased with the portions. I look forward tocoming again on another visit. Read more
