Reservation at 5:30, place wasn't too busy at all. Service was paced and effective given it started to pick up when we got our... drinks. Dark lighting and shuttered blinds, kind of a busy, cozy atmosphere inside, although they have a decent sized outdoorpatio seating. Our New York Strips were cooked perfectly, with the potato and house salad. This was our wedding anniversary, sothey treated us to a free dessert on our special occasion. We especially love the Crème Brulée, so it being free on top of ourmeal was a sweet gesture, and just the good food and memories, that keeps us coming here as our special spot. The food was perfect. The wait staff exquisite. But the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. They are so over used. No padding, ... so sitting up to a table is close to unbearable. At the bar, at the table and the patio chairs all sit to low. Next time I haveto remember to bring some extra to sit on so sitting at a table or counter is at a comfortable height. Salads were good and fresh. Calamari was also delicious! Me and my business partner drove down from Detroit for a long... anticipated luncheon. Two of my four scallops were cooked. The other two were not cooked throughly. My business partner orderedthe mixed grill which we expected to come with 2 jumbo shrimp as advertised on their website. It did not! Also the salmon wassuper rare to the point she almost didn’t want to eat anything else. It kind of ruined our afternoon. I was looking tosurprise her with a great afternoon and it didn’t go as planned. She ended up ordering the same thing I had. Nancy was anamazing waitress! The manager Ashley offered either a dessert or to take off the calamari. We were not expecting a free meal butcome on….you guys half cooked both of our meals and that’s the best you could do considering we drove a hour and a half?They also could’ve done a better job going over the menu because she would’ve ordered crab cakes had we known they existed.We found out by them putting centerpieces on the table with dinner favorites in it 15 minutes before we paid the bill. First time here, for my mother’s birthday and I have nothing but good things to say! The customer service, ambiance, waiter... and food was an A+….. The dishes are well thought out and our waiter actually knew what he was talking about when asked aboutcertain dishes. Great for a date night, special occasion or a quiet evening. Without question, this is Toledo's finest upscale dining establishment. I love the fact they explain the history to first time... guests. Red carpet treatment from beginning to end. Romantic ambiance with very attentive servers. The soft music puts you in acalm posture. Delicious gourmet food, adult portions, and excellent dessert choices.
