It was worth the drive! The food was excellent! The people that own the restaurant were wonderful! They sat and talked to... us! The food was fresh and had enough to take away! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I'm from Egypt, I moved here in 2016, so I can tell if some restaurant's food is... authentic or not. Chef Mohamed's food wasn't just authentic, but it was absolutely appetizing and delicious, and much betterthan a lot of actual Egyptian restaurants in Egypt. It just blew me away! I tried the Egyptian Chicken dish; the grilledchicken breasts were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The rice, the Egyptian Lasagna, everything just tasted like home. Theentire food was delicious, the prices were perfect, and the portions were huge! So if you're reading this and wondering if youshould go or not, please do yourself a favor and try this place, once you go the first time, you know you'll visit again. First experience at the Golden Pyramid! First was the appetizers, the octopus was amazing! I could have drank the oil that it... was in right from the plate. And the stuffed mushrooms were great. Very generous crab and the saffron sauce was tasty. We hadthe lamb and the paella. Both dishes were generous and very tasty! The lamb was cooked perfectly. Our waiter Joe wasexceptional!
