I have met my girlfriend there for dinner and to catch up! It was Turkey Tuesday so the special was turkey dinner or open faced... hot turkey sandwich and that is what I had, it was totally amazing! The first time I went to this restaurant was in 1982 when Iwas working in Mays Landing and I remember their soups were amazing! They have other specials too and I think Saturday night isprime rib night! I?ve never been disappointed and the waitresses are wonderful they also have drink specials and a nice bar! Read more
My last visit I had the Trooper sandwich, it was sooo good! Sundays never disappoint with their prime rib special!
The food is just ok. There is really nothing for vegetarians, or very little, not even appetizers. However the drink and beer... menus are FANTASTIC! They just need to up their game food-wise. Read more
First visit to this establishment. We went for 'Turkey Tuesday', as recommended by my sister. Full plate of fresh turkey breast... over stuffing with mashed potatoes, side of corn, and cranberry sauce. Meal also comes with either soup or salad and loaf ofwarm bread. So this place really went the extra mile tonight. It's Father's Day, I had called a couple days ago to make sure they were still... doing their prime rib specials on Saturday Sunday and Monday which they are, and we intended on going to dinner Sunday night tocelebrate Father's Day. We got there at about 6:50 p.m. were seated promptly. Waitress came over and said I'm sorry we're closedthey shouldn't have seated you the last seatings we were taking we're at 5:30. At first I thought she was joking but clearly shewas being honest. She went into the kitchen and came back a few minutes later and said absolutely no problem we still haveplenty of everything and there's no problem serving you. First this is exceptional, It wasn't their fault because they onlydecided the day before that they would close at 5:30 because that was their last reservation time that they had accepted. Thusthis was not conveyed to me when I called a couple of days before. But they were going to accommodate us and they still hadprime rib, rare the way I like it. My wife had the veal parmesan I have course had the prime rib and everything wasexceptional.This place out did themselves. Went there with my wife. Asked the server if the meatballs were made on site. She said yes but they were without a doubt frozen.... I was disappointed but I?m not going to give this place low ratings. I want to try their other food before saying anythingdisparaging. What a wonderful pub! Came in for the first time tonight and wasn't disappointed at all. The food is absolutely delicious and... the portions are very generous. Tried their New England clam chowder and at every last spoonful, then wiped out the bowl withthe bread. Enjoyed a very large chop steak with a yuengling and nearly cried on my first bite but didn't because my tears darenot touch the homemade gravy. Prices are reasonable and they have other options perfect for lunch as well as dinner. Very big onthe inside and great location for parties r date night. Parking is ample, staff is attentive and hospitable and atmosphereoffers classic tavern experience (beer mirrors and neon lights). Read more
