Stopped in here for the first time yesterday with my mom and I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The food is... delicious. My mother and her parents are from New Orleans so I grew up eating southern/Creole food. The gumbo at Bryant's Coveis so far the only restaurant gumbo I have liked as much as my mother's and grandfather's (even after visiting New Orleans). Wewere so excited that we ended up getting the gumbo, the seafood boil (her original seasoning is to DIE for!! not too spicy butpacked with flavor), the fried plantains, and then my mom got jambalaya and carrot cake to go!! The workers are also a joy, andwe got to talk to the owner for a while. She is so personable and creative! The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and I'll beordering take out from them regularly now. Great little spot to have some flavorful, yummy soul food. Loved it. Read more

The restaurant was the greatest experience in my life. Amazing food, clean place, friendly service. I don't normally like... sausage, but the gumbo was amazing. My mom was raving about this place, and although I've never been, 1) my mom is an excellent cook and has an exquisite taste in... food, 2) she doesn't rave about food that isn't absolutely delicious, and 3) there's a high chance she won't get around toactually leaving a review online. So I'm leaving it for her. The flavors, the cultural range, the service, and the ownersdefinitely all left a great impression on her! I live in NY, but I'm hoping to try it myself one day. Read more
