Very quiet private setting. Our server was new (third day) she knew all the specials right away. Chips and salsa are tradition,... salsa was clearly made from scratch and if I had to guess made the same day. Very good flavor and just the right amount ofspice. Sirloin was really good but has a certain flavor to it after eating that I can?t put my finger on. The Mediterraneanshrimp flat bread was wonderful. Both servers (new server and a longer employee) failed to mention there was feta cheese on it(I HATE feta) when I asked what ingredients they use. They made me new one and removed it from the bill plus the desert (yes Ileft my server a very nice tip). I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return most likely tomorrow. So much Iwanted to try. Read more

Quite the surprise to find this quality of dining in Maysville! Nice if not slightly noisy dining room, very hard working wait... staff and terrific menu with a blend of traditional favorites such as steak and salmon along with unusual options like HoppinJohn and Bourbon glazed Brussel sprouts. Green beans were the best we have ever had and the desserts were great. But, therestaurant did have its short comings . We were not even aware that they served alcohol until we were almost finished. Thedesserts had been sitting uncovered in the refrigerator for an extended period of time and had begun to dry out. The kitchenwas quite slow getting food out but it was still a pretty darn good meal! Oh, and a more than reasonable price. Read more

Gotta love some Kentucky fine dining! Drove over from Georgetown on a whim and we were delighted by our experience. The host... seated us and told us about the specials, we sat for a minute until a waitress (autumn) asked if anyone had helped us yet. Whenwe said no she took it upon herself to take our orders and again told us about the specials. As a former restaurant worker ILOVE when the waitress gives you their HONEST opinion and recommendations on items. Autumn didn't steer us wrong. We had the redsnapper special, the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi (this was our favorite) with the Brussels. Everything was delicious and theservice was OUTSTANDING. Autumn was the best server we have had in a long long time. Thank you for bringing this gem tomaysville! Hope we can make it back to try the elusive bison meatloaf. Read more

Went for the first time last night. Three people in our party. Walked out amazed at how good our meals were. Pork chop = A+.... Seafood platter = A+. Fried chicken with bourbon glaze = A++++. Would like to have more flavour in the red skin mashed potatoes, but still good. Brussel sprouts are probably the best we've ever had (former best at Perry's Steakhouse in Houston). Definitelythe best fried green tomatoes we've had. Also had the fried dill pickles which were good but a little over cooked. The saucethat comes with the apps was beyond delicious!! Service from Autumn was top notch - kind, attentive, authentic. Prices are morethan fair for the high quality food. Owner greeted us with a genuine hello. Will be going back the next time we visit Maysville. Read more

When stopped by 212 Market Street after two recommendations from local shop owners, after our anniversary dinner reservations... where interrupted by the unplanned closure of another local restaurant. The reasoning for the low star score? No prices on wineor ?specials.? When we were initially seated we asked if their was a wine list available and were told that there wasn?t, butthe server was able to order wine from his digital ordering system. We received two small glasses of Riesling, similar to theportion one would expect for a tasting. We?ve included a picture. We didn?t expect to pay $22 for for such small glasses.Additionally, the spinach artichoke dip was $10, but not founded priced elsewhere. The dip was okay, but the flour chips wereburnt and heavily seasoned with an Italian seasoning. We don?t send stuff back so we just chalked it up to being something thatwe wouldn?t recommend. The pre-meal loaf of dark bread is served with a dish of sweet butter. For the entrees we ordered the8oz steak, the low country shrimp and grits, and the grilled macadamia nut crusted mahi-mahi with pineapple sweet chili garlicsalsa. The 8oz steak was ordered as medium well, but arrived well-done and chewy. The sides were green beans and a bakedpotato. When asked to describe the meal it was compared to what could be found at any chain steakhouse. The low country shrimpand grits are described as being creamy, rich cheesy with shrimp grilled to perfection. When asked if the meal was enjoyed itwas said that the shrimp were very good, but that the grits were more of a purée or sweet curry and that the andouille sausageand bacon were not apparent. The macadamia nut crusted mahi-mahi was as described by the menu. The side of grilled corn on thecob was without butter and seasoning and very dry. With tip of 15% our bill came to $99.00. So for a little under $100 welearned where not to eat when visiting Maysville, Kentucky. Read more

We traveled in for work (9 people) The food is probably the best in Maysville we had. Everything was decent/good. We went back... for a second night in a row because people wanted to try other items on the menu as things were so good. Crab corn chowder soupwas bangin?. Brussels sprouts are to die for. Hoppin John?s was tasty. Pumpernickel bread was so yummy and hot. Salads werefresh. Fried pickles were also tasty. Filets/ribeyes we?re good but come out slightly overcooked (as typical for somerestaurant). Just order one on the rarer side and you should be good. Guac was fresh. Salsa was real. Not enough chips to eatit all. Portions are generally large, except for side salads. Definitely worth the ~$15 per person. Service is decent. I thinkthey?re trying their best, (they appear understaffed) but some things are hit and miss in that department. Bills came out wrong/ mis-ordered. Some drinks on wrong checks. No bread on one of our visits. Food coming before the salads and appetizers. I?mthinking once they have it all together a bit of training/communication can easily fix with employees. Soft skills from waitstaff are on point otherwise. This paragraph is most of the odd little complaints that management needs to fix on their own. 1,Bill prices on menu don?t match the tickets (Ex. soup $5.99 / billed $6) it?s only a penny but it?s still fraud. 2, Menu itemsneed updated if you made changes (succotash). 3, Let servers know to tell tables up front if you are out of something (friedgreen tomatoes). 4, Get a wine/drink/beer list. 5, change the napkin situation? The one paper napkin that comes usually isn?tenough especially with shareable appetizers or the giant chicken sandwich or the 1/2 burgers. Perhaps wrap two per silverware orinvest in a better quality one that?s good for more than 1 wipe or serve more with the appropriate plates. 6, a little traininggoes a long way, staff seemed confused with the menu a bit (have a tasting night/lunch/day with everyo Read more

We stopped by based on recommendations from a friend. We were not dissapointed. The food was more than adequate. We had the ... Boursin filets, Fried Chicken and Mahi Mahi. Our server came with recommendations. The place is certainly better thanChandlers. We had scotch as a cocktail. The pour was short. I'd give it a bare 3 in other MSA'S. Maysville is pretty much a fooddesert so I'm giving it a 4. Good luck, I sincerely hope you make it. Read more
