As I was driving through town, this place caught my attention because I happen to be from the same state back in Mexico,... Jalisco! Fierro Pariente! So the curb appeal was lively. As I entered the restaurant boy I was a bit overwhelmed with thedarkness of the decor. It wasn?t bad but it almost make you feel like you are entering a tunnel. More about this later. Thereception was good. The host was a bit disappointed that it was just me. The gave me the table across the bar. I darted to thebathroom right away because I really needed too. And again, the same feeling of being in a tunnel follows all the way to thebathrooms. The bathroom was clean. The waitress offered me to order my drink and there were chips and salsa already; the goodones! Drinks arrived quick and I was ready to order food. I ordered something simple; the lunch flautas and a Tamale. Food cameout quickly. The Tamale was smothered in cheese sauce! Yeah buddy! The flautas were a bit disappointing. I know them to be in acorn tortilla and not in flour. I was starting to question wether they are from Jalisco and rather from Monterrey! Hehehehe Ohboy so what can we say? Well, if anybody cares to know, jere is what I recommend. Decor. I get it, everybody is using black.But black For the heck of using black does not make it fancy or modern. One must treat the color black carefully. I will attachsome pictures of some samples on how to use it properly and really make a difference! Personnel. I noticed that waiters andwaitresses stand by the bar area. At time it is crowded and at times there is nobody. It just looks bad to have people juststanding. Food. The food itself was good. It just feels too tex mex. Maybe that is what people like here but it is alwayspresented too simple. The menu also is too complicated. Way too many options way too confusing. This place had good reviews and was packed when we arrived. I?m sorry but I don?t know why so many people eat here. The service... was mediocre and the food was not good. How do you mess up a taco? The meat had a Wierd flavor. The ?chili? sauce on myenchilada had to be out of a can and taco meat was thrown on top. The salsa was bland and tasted like eating a Tomato. My cokewas good but that was it. The staff was running around working hard by made the environment feel very chaotic. We stood at thefront waiting to even be greeted for 10 minutes. The chips and salsa with a side of queso was amazing. I got a shrimp cocktail with octopus it wasn?t bad but not my favorite.... All the other food looked good though I was just in the mood for the shrimp cocktail. The avocado in the thing was honestly thebest. The staff was friendly would try here again. Read more
Place was amazing!! I had the steak salad my co-workers had jalisco plates. The salad was delicious ???? every bite. My... co-workers where stuffed and loved it. Service was fast and respectful. I recommend eating here you won't be disappointed. Iwill definitely be back. Read more
Huge portions of hot, fresh, tasty food, with an authentic atmosphere, excellent wait staff, and reasonable prices! Usually love their food but lately it seems when I order through take out I?m always missing something and tonight as I?ve been... moving and finding out my grandfather could be passing at any moment I ordered food last minute but definitely before they wereclosed and instead of notifying me or posting some sort of policy that you can?t order food after a certain time because theywant to be out of the restaurant at 9pm rather then closing doors and cleaning at 9pm like every other restaurant and fast foodplace in the world.? they waited for someone to contact them before explaining that they actually don?t stay open till 9pm asadvertised.
