Costa Messa is one of my favorite restaurants and this location was recently opened and I thought let me visit and see the new... location and see if food is the same. Rice was not cooked was hard, beans were cold unlike Costa Messa. Initial table where wewere taken to be seated was not leveled, this needs to be a priority from operations based on quality customer satisfaction.Needs some improvements in kitchen and sitting area. Decent spot with good service. I was impressed to see them juice the limes for their house made margarita mix. My first couple... margaritas were good but then I noticed they completely stopped putting triple sec in them making them taste watered down andtoo citrusy. Flautas were average, tacos were good and I wouldn?t get their queso dip again. Solid HH. Read more
My friend and I went to Costa Mesa Restaurant located on the expressway west of Ware Rd. The place has a nice atmosphere which I... immediately noticed walking in. I also noticed the nice bar area to the left of the main entrance. We were seated at a booth inthe main dining room. Our super friendly server took our usual iced tea order as we scanned the menu. I ended up choosing thechicken fajitas and my friend ordered the caldo de marisco ( seafood soup). A selection of salsas was given to us, those were anice tasty starter. Our meals arrived promptly, I was hoping for a bit more of a sizzle coming from the hot skillet. The mealscame with tortillas for both of us, they were fresh and just made. The fajitas come with a side plate of rice, beans, guacamole,and lettuce, all the components for some fun taco building. The chicken itself lacked flavor, the peppers and onions gave itflavor but the chicken itself really needed seasoning, however, it was a good sized portion. My friend's soup was loaded withnice sized pieces of fish and shrimp in a tomato based broth, this too had rice on the side. He really enjoyed it, his onlycomplaint was he wished he would have ordered a bigger bowl. We had tres leches cheesecake for dessert, it was more like regularcake with cheesecake. If you are going to use tres leches in the description, the cake part needs to be super moist. Most tresleches cake you can see the moistness coming out of the cake. Great service, friendly staff, and good food. The parrillada if great and features chicken, fajitas, ribs, mollejas (nice and... crispy), sausage an a bed of grilled onion, tomatoes and peppers. Served with rice, beans, pity, guacamole and tortillas. Thisis a family favorite. Menu says for two, but easily feeds four. Menu full of other great dishes. A must try!??. Read more
Food was delicious! The booths however need some updating, the cushions are flat and do not hold well.
Our food was great and came out fast after we had waited for 15 mins for our waiter to first ask what we wanted to drink. I... appreciated his female coworker get his attention and also asked if we needed anything too. Her and the food saved this reviewfrom being lower rated. Read more
