I typically drive to this El Pato from Penitas, vs going to the one in La Joya, because they are faster and always get my order... right. Well, today the let me down. Location had 2 cars in parking lot, so it was not busy indoors, and there was inly 2 carsat drive through ahead of me. I pulled up to drive through to order and girl came on to say " please wait one moment", 5minutes later is said "hello?", girl comes back on and says, "hello, can I take your order?". No, im sorry for the delay, so amguessing she forgot we were there. I ordered breakfast tacos, 6 to be exact, then drive home with tacos for my kids. Well lowand behold, only 4 tacos in the bag, and the four tacos had half the food filling in them than usual. I guess i will not begoing back to El Pato again. Read more
We were so glad to see that El Pato is still a mainstay in the RGV after being away for many years! It isn't the inexpensive... taco hut it used to be, but it's so delicious, and the portions were generous. DH was able to get his longtime favorite carneguisada tacos with avocado, while I was able to indulge my obsession with barbacoa. El Pato's tortillas are the best! Even ourteens commented on how soft, fluffy, and flavorful they were. Read more
