Placed an order online and specifically said NO AVOCADO! They put avocado on my order. My daughter is deathly allergic to... avocado and even if I remove the avocado and eat it and she touches me she will have a reaction! I asked for a REFUND, not aCREDIT to the restaurant and they gave me the excuse of they can't because it was placed online and that there was amiscommunication between the 3td party vendor and them. So how is that my fault? Give me my refund and work it out with your 3rdparty vendor! Then I asked to speak to a manager and there's no manager available. How does a restaurant operate without amanager or assistant manager on hand!?!? Unbelievable! So here I sit, with no food and no refund! Read more

We went to go to another spot on a Friday evening but decided to walk out due to being completely ignored?and on our way to the... car we were drawn into La Jaiba by the awesome live music that we could hear from outside. It just drew us in. We wereimmediately greeted by super friendly people who sat us. They we?re having happy hour until 7 so we tried their margaritas. Very delicious!!! And their appetizers were great. I especially loved the empanadas. Good atmosphere. Good food. Good servicedrinks and music. It was a great impromptu stop. So glad we stopped in. We will be back. I?ve been coming here for sometime and Brought a friend to eat some good seafood and I was really disappointed with the food. We... ordered the 4 meat seafood platter and everything was not tasty at all, it looked like the oil was not hot enough to fry thefish, oysters, scallops and shrimp properly, everything was really soggy and the batter didn?t even stick right, verydisappointed, will not be back. Looks like the owner needs to pay more attention to what?s going on in the kitchen. ???? Read more

Visited La Jaiba recently on a Friday during Lent and was afraid that food quality and service would suffer due to the demand... and rush but I was pleasantly surprised. We were seated rather quickly and placed our orders. We had a Fried Fish Platter, aFried Fish/Shrimp Combo and an order of Rafafa (Mexican style Shrimp Salad). Everything was delicious especially the fried fishfillets. They were cooked perfectly. The Rafafa tasted slightly different from the ones I've had at other restaurants (in a goodway) I thought it had a touch of worchestire sauce but I may be mistaken. I enjoyed it. Despite the Friday Lent crowd theservice was on point. Our orders were taken quickly, the food surprisingly was brought to our table as we enjoyed the sidesalad. I recommend the Cilantro Ranch Dressing.....YUMMY. Read more
