Chicken fried chicken!!! Chicken fried chicken!!! Ok, I had to emphasize what to order. If you don?t get it, there are plenty of... other delicious options but I highly recommend the CFC, with a side of broccoli and squash. Treat yourself with the cheesecakechurro (O would rob a liquor store if I was rewarded with one of these). The wait staff are very friendly and courteous. Bringyour family or your date. Great food!!! Service is great and it's economical to eat here. The dining room was at about 85% capacity but the staff had everything spic... and span. My dining companion didn't like one of her sides and a waitress offered to get her another side for free. She also didme the favor of bringing me a to-go cup. Awesome! Read more
The food here isn't really great in my opinion,there are many options to choose from, and many sides also. I have tried the... "bacon, cheese & steak" and their "Fried Fish" and both are just average, the food doesn't really amaze me, the steak was dryand not well seasoned, the Mac and cheese was very plain, the beans were tasteless, the mashed potatoes are okay, the bread istasty but very small. Overall I would not recommend the lunch/dinner options here, I have asked before if they have meatloafbut they never seem to have it. Read more

It had been a while since I tried Luby's! I got to taste two different dishes: the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Salmon. Both the... chicken and the salmon were delicious! I crave it again just remembering the taste! The vegetables were pretty straightforwardbut cooked well. I don't know what sauce the salmon had that made it extra soft and flavorful! Read more
We went to Luby's on Violet and 10th for Thanksgiving. Wow what a line, I assume we were not the only ones who didn't want to... copy today. Once we were in front of all the fare being offered, it was decision time. I came for Turkey but I always get thebaked fish, or the delicious pork chop smothered in onions. But today I stuck to my Holiday choice and ordered the Turkey servedover stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, instead of green beans I wanted the buttered cabbage. I added a side of fried okraand a corn bread muffin. Also, included with the meal is dessert, so my last decision came down to pumpkin pie or pecan pie. Iopted for the pumpkin pie, even tho my southern side of me was begging for the pecan pie. My wife ordered the same, except shewanted the buttered corn, and she added a cranberry salad. My son had the chicken fried chicken with baked red skin potatoes,and a side of Mac and cheese. The service was great, our server took good care of us. She brought cranberries for our Turkey andrefilled our drinks without us having to ask. I have always liked Luby's, especially for its comforting meals, and the number ofselections available.
