The pizza is delicious especially because it is cooked in the brick style oven. I ordered pasta and I wish the sauce wasn’t so... runny. The ambitious indoors was calm and relaxing and I enjoyed the vast option of wine. The steak options are at an affordableprice. I do wish our server was more attentive to our table but nevertheless she brought a birthday dessert to the table whichwas really nice. Read more

A mighty fine lasagna and heck of a great service! I even loved the NY styled cheesecake with pecans in it. It is a bit... expensive but totally worth it. Read more

Il Forno is on 10th Street about a block south of Nolana. I went to eat there on two different occasions, once with a friend and... then again with my family. For starters I really love the bread they serve here, it's focaccia I believe, and some of the bestin town. Both salads were super fresh, my Gorgonzola wedge salad was presented nicely, and I loved the extra cubed gorgy thatwas added, as well as, the crispy pancetta. As for entrees my friend ordered the linguine with shrimp, and ended up withspaghetti instead of linguine.(see photo). If it was linguine it was overcooked and appeared like spaghetti. Also, I wassurprised there were only 4 shrimp on the plate for $28. The norm is usually 6 to 8 and the fact that it was priced up there, and served only with spaghetti, my goodness! My other observation is, he ordered it Scampi as one of the options offered.Instead of the basic scampi sauce consisting of white wine, garlic butter, lemon, and parsley. He received more of a sauce usedin piccata and one with way too many capers and too much Oregano. He complained about the Oregano on the way to the car, sayinghe could still taste it even after dessert. I ordered the chicken marsala, but really didn't taste the Marsala. The chicken wassuper tender, and I liked the shitake mushrooms. The potatoes were great, and the grilled asparagus needed help. Desserts wereon point, the cake super airy and the cheesecake was the creamiest I've ever had. When I went the second time with my wife andson the experience was much better. Again, great bread, our appetizers of calamari and fried cheese were totally on point. Mywife and I both commented that the tomato sauce that was served with both appetizers was really good, and not herbaceous as mostother restaurants. My wife and I split the Caprese Salad which was done perfectly. For entrees, my wife's steak was cookedperfectly and served with those delicious potatoes. I liked the presentation on my Salmon plate and it was seare Read more

You walk through the doors at Il Forno, and are welcomed with the most attentive service I've received in a while. It sets the... tone for a pleasant experience of good dining and great conversation. It is a great place for a first date ;) The charcuterieboard was amazing. It had a wide variety of cheeses, cured meat, bread, olives, and jelly. It looked and tasted fantastic! Thisboard can serve 4 people as an appetizer. We tried the Meat Lovers Pizza. I was so impressed with how delicious it was! Thinenough to not be overly filling but packed with flavor. You must try it! I take pride in knowing a good cocktail. From 1 to 5,I would rate the cocktails at a 3.5 -- I was not too crazy about the two I tried that evening. They are not bad, but not thebest cocktails out there. I had the Aria Fresca and the Margarita. I will be coming back for more! Read more

2/5 The food was good up until the toppings of our pizza. The mushrooms and olives we thought were going to enjoy turned out to... be super salty and ruined the taste. We picked off the toppings and when our waiter came by he gave us the check. When wecomplained about the toppings and how we didn’t enjoy paying $6 for something we didn’t eat, the management came around tous and was very rude about how we should’ve complained earlier. She was very rude to us as we felt uncomfortable being therebecause we were younger than the rest of the restaurant. Our server did a great job trying to accommodate to us afterwards. Foodwas alright, Management was very rude and our server was good. Read more

Some of the best brick oven pizza I've ever had. Their steak was very juicy and tender. Expect 5 star cuisine in a relaxed but... posh romantic atmosphere (dinner). Lasagna was top notch!! Absolutely loved the Salmon Ravioli with shrimp and upgraded withfreshly shaved truffles. Their truffles were to die for!! What a delight!! Read more

The ambiance, service, and food were top-notch! I got the chef special of the day, which was shrimp ravioli in a lobster cream... sauce. It was so good.. I also ordered off the menu item cucumber martini, which was so refreshing and tasty. The pizza wassome of the best I have tried! The cheesecake was so perfectly presented and the taste was even better! I can't wait to go backto try the rest of the items on the menu!! Read more

This was our first time at Il Forno. 1. Made reservations via open table and were seated immediately. Service was not bad, but... could do a little better. 2. Cucumber water and Passion lemonade amazing. 3. Food was excellent. 4. This is a very casual andfamily oriented restaurant. So if you are looking for a romantic/quiet place, this might not be the place for you. 5. Food didtake a while to arrive, so make sure you aren’t in a hurry. Read more
