A quiet, stylish and pleasant restaurant.
Our server was new but did a great job. Ambiance was very nice; though it was a little odd to be seated in the lobby, the... building is gorgeous & being in the lobby gave my tired child a little (quiet) freedom. The food was all delicious. They wereout of several menu items, but everything we got was terrific (steak, fish, pasta, salad, sorbet, affogato). Would haveappreciated more non-alcoholic beverage options. Will definitely recommend & return! Read more

We came for Thanksgiving dinner and our group enjoyed the experience. They held their dinner service at the Axle & Rose dining... room. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor of the room. All tables had white tablecloths & were stylishly decorated inholiday decor. There was also live dinner music played by an excellent local guitarist Rick Garrett. The service was very good.Our orders arrived as our other friends recieved their orders. I had the turkey dinner, the flavor was very good, I only wish Ihad a full slice of turkey instead of 2 small pieces (about 4 bites total). They may have mad a mistake in my plating because Iwouldn't consider my turkey portion a serving. I didn't speak up because as a total meal, I felt I had more than enough food. Wewould definitely consider spending another holiday with the staff at Sage in the future. Read more
We spent a night here and had a lovely dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. We highly recommend it! The food was fresh and... delicious, great quality! Friendly staff. My favorite part was the daily Vegan offering. It's sometimes a challenge for me, butthe Sage Restaurant was prepared! Thank you! We'll be back! Read more
Absolutely phenomenal! We had iced tea on the porch while waiting for our table. It set the relaxed mood. Everything we had was... outstanding, from the amuse-bouche, to the huge salad with the best blue cheese dressing, to the crab cake to the entrées(waiting for dessert to arrive but I can't imagine it would be anything less than perfect). The historic McCloud Hotel provides a lovely setting for this restaurant. Our food was tasty, but our overall experience was... unfortunately marred by inattentive and slow service. The outdoor patio dining area would be very pleasant in cooler months, butless so on a still, hot evening in July. Read more
Great service, atmosphere, and yummy food! We got the steak frites and shrimp and grits.
