Very friendly staff. Clean. Nice spot to hang out. I wouldn't go on a day that you are in a rush. The meals are made from... scratch and you will need to be patient. They have mimosas which everyone seems to love and a lot of different flavored Frenchtoast. Definitely worth a try! Read more
We decided to give this restaurant a chance and they did not disappoint! Before jumping back on the Highway we stopped at A Cup... of Comfort Breakfast Bistro for breakfast. Food was flavorful and freshly made. I loved my dulce de lech french toast. Highlight of the breakfast. Star lost for missing... component in my order and lobster was a little too salty. The french toast bagel sandwich couldve been less syrupy. Service slowbut not to the point it makes you hangry. Overall I do recommend. This place was a lifesaver on the trip back from Atlanta to Tampa. There are not many vegan options on that route, and even... fewer breakfast options. A Cup of Comfort only has two vegan options on the menu, but luckily, they are amazing. We had thetofu scramble and it was one of the best scrambles I've ever had, seasoned to perfection. The potatoes, too. Adding ketchup tothem would have been an insult they were so perfectly delectable. Not only that, but for a small diner that could easily havebeen a rundown run-of-the-mill dilapidated mom and pop, you could see the care and attention to detail coming through. This isobviously a labor of love and the place was surprisingly clean, the food well presented, the service friendly and upbeat (evenat 7am), and the meal prompt and delicious. This is a must do breakfast stop for vegan travelers, and there are ample omnivoreoptions as well. 2 scrambles, coffee, and orange juice was reasonable priced at about $40, including tip. Heavenly.... That's how I would describe the food. My husband and I went early and were the only ones in the restaurant. We were... greeted and sat down promptly. Orders placed and food was ready shortly. Everything was cooked to perfection. Good needed noextra seasoning or anything. I danced and hummed through my entire meal. I had the shrimp and grits with toast and roastedpotatoes.... Every bite was melt in your mouth delicious. My husband had the French toast, scrambled eggs, and sausage which healso enjoyed. So me and my husband stopped in for breakfast this morning, I already knew I wanted the lemon drop French toast. I was... definitely good! This was my first visit and this is an honest review. They were very short staffed. There was only one server and it was pretty... crowded and I believe it was a bit much for her. It took 15 minutes to get a menu and after finally placing my order, another 30minutes went by before I was told that they were out of something and that I would have to choose something else. By the time Igot my food, I had been there for about an hour. I was patient because I could see that they were struggling. However, the foodmade up for everything. I got the Breakfast Baked Potato and my buddy got the Shrimp & Grits. Both dishes were fresh, hot andvery delicious! It was well worth the wait! I do want to return and try other selections.
