Such a wonderful staff. We went in for my son's birthday last night 11/18. We were told it was about a 25-30 minute wait, which... was expected for a busy Friday night. We were told by the host we could put a pizza in & once our table was ready it would beout shortly after which was wonderful with two small children waiting to eat. We got seated & our server was an absolutepleasure, very attentive & a joy to have around the children. We ordered more food & everything came out great! Fresh, hot &tasty! Busboys were always on the move, cleaning tables & staying busy. Our server brought out a dessert for my son, he was inthe bathroom while she was on her way out. She didn't hesitate or fuss about having to come out a second time while I brought myson back to the table. She had a candle & everything, the look on his face was priceless! First time visiting Buddyz's on my birthday which was Saturday September 10th. It was a very good day and I really enjoyed the... ambiance sitting outside on the patio next to the river walk. Our waitress Emmy was fantastic! She was so very nice and really"on the ball". She catered to our needs exceptionally and she is just a very nice girl. I'm pretty sure we gave her the biggesttip we've ever given to someone waiting on us. The pizza was very good and I'm looking forward to returning soon. Loved the patio and the view! I was happy to be outside; I must be lame bc I thought it was very loud and cold inside, but... everyone in there seemed to be having a good time. The pizza flights were delicious and I loved being able to try differentthings. BBQ pineapple was my favorite?or the loop?tough call! Our server was new and had to go ask questions in the kitchen 3times before completing our order. She was very nice and trying her best, just could?ve probably been trained more on the menu(what toppings you can get on the flights, etc.). we walked the river walk after and it made for a great night! My early birthday dinner at Buddyz in McHenry, Illinois. First visit. Deep Dish, butter crust, half cheese half pepperoni and... sausage for me. Set a high bar for Illinois right out of the gate!! Amazing pizza. Sauce is just like crushed tomatoes (SanMarzano I believe) and just the right amount of toppings and herbs. Killer cheese pull! They also have 3 and 4 pizzaflights!! For starters we got the fried calamari and Italian stallions. The dips included were so good. We really liked the calamari. The... Italian stallions were delicious! You should give it a try. The onion rings were good too, not oily. My mom liked their latte.We ordered the Sears Tower hand tossed pizza and we all liked it. A lot of toppings! For dessert we ordered Oreo Cheesecake andLava cake with ice cream on top! They were so good!!!!! Calamari was fantastic! Also "Sears Tower" pizza thin crust: SO good! That many toppings can make a soggy pizza but not here!... The mushrooms were fresh cooked, onions perfect, even the green peppers. One of my top two fave restaurants- that's saying alot!! Read more
